- Advertising Management System (AMS) - Online Digital Signage (DSP) media player software with abilities to update the content online through web connection. (FTP server for media/video download/upload, ) - TV Broadcast and/or Flight information feeds display switcher. - Analysis Report on what s being played on each LCD unit.
Project Scope
Scope and Deliverables
Centralize Web Server with the AMS to be located in the HQ. Static IP and Bandwidth requirement is confirmed for its availability, the Bandwidth available at the moment is about 10GB - IIX connection only, no information on the IIS bandwidth since it is not required, except if one day they want to include Singapore. Which I ve mentioned that if this need arise, then Singapore unit should have their own backend Server separated from Jakarta. Over 3000 units of LCD deployed in Jakarta, no confirmation on the approx number of LCD unit outside of Jakarta, such as in Surabaya and Bali, or even Singapore. No accurate confirmation on the number of LCD will be deployed on the Airport yet, since they keep modifying the requirements, which I suspect due to their negotiation with the Airport authorities as well. However, it was confirmed that the implementation will be on Terminal 3 only for the time being.
Proposed Solutions

They are quite open with the technology provided, however we ve managed to agreed that the Solution will be delivered under Windows Server platform with Windows XP Home Edition as its clients. Database being used on the backend side is SQL Server 2008, with SQL Server Express or MySQL as a backup technology if the budget is not approved by the owner/director (which I doubt). They will manage to provide the hardware themselves, and they mentioned that currently the specification is based on Intel Atom dual core with 2GB RAM, and 240GB of Flash Drive for the storage. Infrastructure wise, they had close connection with Telkom somehow, so their infrastructure are somewhat fully supported based Telkom infrastructure.As for the client, it will depends on their deals with Telkom, if Speedy is used, then each building will have a single (or more) gateway and shared across using wi-fi connection. But if Telkom Flash (3G) is used, then each LCD unit will have their own modem to dial internet directly. Which any of these wont effect on the software development cause the protocol will still be based on HTTP and FTP connection.

Total 6 Man Months Two programmers will be needed for in-house development. Considering me as one of the them. Hiring additional programmer may or may not be an option, with the due date a little bit close, I somehow prefer to assign the development to someone that I can trust, instead of some random programmer who may or may not reliable enough to do the job. Even though I will still be in-charge on the development direction. No additional man power will be needed from any other team for the implementation. I will in-charge on the implementation myself or the programmer will do that.

No additional hardware needed, since they ve mention that if we do need any hardware, we can just borrow it from them.

Server license:
AMS: 80 million per server. Implementation Cost: 64 million Total initial server licensing: 144 million.
!! No discussion on additional server licensing will be required yet, nor any terms on additional server license cost from our end.
Client License (player):

DSP: 200 thousand per client. No implementation cost, we just provide the installation disc, and they will do the implementation for themselves. Bulk Licensing was proposed by Charles the other day:
100 units discount 5%. 500 units discount 10%. 1000 units discount 15%. 1500 units discount 20%. 2000 units discount 25%. 2500 units discount 30%. 3000 units discount 35%.
With additional condition that it have to be purchase with the Annual Maintenance is at 15% from total Software/License Cost. No reply on their yet as far as I know, probably Charles have more insight on this matter. Estimated total client license value is 3000 unit x 200k = 600 million IDR 35% = 390 million IDR.
Total Estimated Solution value = 144 + 390 = 534 million IDR. Plus annual maintenance at 80.1 million IDR starting on the following years. We are trying to get a 3 years contract deals for the maintenance (service contract).
