Introduction and background of the institution

Jinka university established in 2010 at the first time the institution receive to call 1500 student but

the data shows statically 1100 students join the institution with four collages named as

agricultural, FB collage, others and humanities and computational within 14 departments

 So the establishment of student union closed with the history of the institution

But JKU student union have been different structuralism and procedural work system and

responsibility.

In 2010 the first direct election system was faced different problems and those leaders control and

pass the 2nd round election that was very interesting time and promoted well organized union.

2nd round union was establish 2012 and still active and after 3 months by pass to next one.
Motivation for investigate or enrichments of project

The traditional paper ballots and manual vote counting process, which
can be time-consuming and prone to errors.
During election time, the voter, user and the university may spend

unnecessarily expense and waste their money, time and energy .

I went to contribute that can increase voter turnout and ensure the integrity of
the election results.

Statement of the problem

• Poor record management which leads them to having many

problems during vote collection.
• The manual record system become slow and error prone to be
decision making.
• Week security and trust in audience
• During election time, the voter, user and the university may
spend unnecessarily expense and waste their money, time and
energy, paper .
• Security and control storing data is not secure

An online voting system for the Jinka University Student
Union would provide a modern, efficient, and secure way
for students to exercise their right to vote and participate
in the democratic process of the student union.
The voters may not get the chance to request service of
the organization directly so that need elected their
representative for facilitate the service
The manual vote counting process can be subject to
errors and can compromise the integrity of the election
results.

General objective
The general objectives of this project is Jinka university student union
online voting system

Specific objective
The specific objectives of this project is to :-

Designing and implementing a user-friendly online voting platform

Ensuring the security and integrity of the online voting system
Providing a transparent and reliable vote counting process
Increasing voter participation by providing a more convenient and accessible
voting method.
Reducing the cost and time associated with traditional paper ballot systems.
 Scope of project
The scope of this project is developing web based system for Jinka
University student union.
 Includes measures to ensure the security and integrity of the voting
process,
 Includes the design, development, and implementation of a secure
and reliable voting platform for elections.
 The system would be accessible to all eligible students and would
provide a user-friendly interface for casting votes.
 The JKUSU voting system is limited to student union elections and
does not extend to any other or government elections.
 Limitation of project

Perceived legitimacy: Some students may perceive online voting systems

as less legitimate than traditional paper ballot systems,
Does not include chatting room.

Candidates dose not get platform for sending their feedback like post box
or chat.

PROJECT ANALYSIS
Existing System
The voting system currently being used by the association is
a paper based system, and direct election system.
In which the voter simply picks up ballots sheets from
electoral officials, tick off who they would like to vote for,
The electoral officials gather all the votes being cast into a
ballot box.
At the end of the elections, the electoral officials converge
and count the votes cast for each candidate and
Determine the winner of each election category
Proposed System
Here we are proposing an web application for voting process that is
Online Voting System.
The online voting system will manages the voter’s &Candidate details.
The main feature of the project includes voters information and
candidate information.
Voter can login and use his/her voting rights by using university
official STU_ID.
The system can manage the information data very efficiently.
The proposed system is more reliable, faster, accurate and easy to
handle compared to existing manual system.
It helps to computerize everything and reducing the errors as compare
to manual voting system

Recommendation
I recommend Jinka University Research and
Community Service to provide an opportunity for

problems.

and remove gossipy movement and create trustful
candidate and democratic community.
Conclusion
This system is a web based application to serve customers as well as
the working group of the system in different direction.
The requirements provide a basic framework for writing and
developing usable documentation and good system for poll workers.
To be effective, the must be expanded to:
Include a broader range of documentation best practices as
requirements
Define more specific and usable directions to information developers
Describe documentation best practices that can be realistically
implemented and evaluated
Create easy, effective and aureate fulfillment of the requirement
analysis
