There is a scam being operated from this number. They say they are the Internal Revenue Service and if you don't send them the money that you "owe" they will send the sheriff to arrest you. I spent the first 65 years of my life in Brooklyn, N.Y. and gave them a lesson in the language of the streets.

claiming to be IRS filing lawsuit

Just posted a complaint recently. When I looked up the info on my caller ID, it told me the location was Cook IS. The caller ID said Arlington, TX, When I typed Cook IS into google search, it was from Cook Islands.

I received a phone call on my answering machine. I called back and spoke to a man who hardly spoke English. Told me there was a miscalculation with my taxes from 2005-2012. I told him I would take it up with my Certified Public Accountant, and he hung up on me. I said hello, hello, but the line was dead. Guess he was a scam.

Posing as the irs

Yesterday morning I got a phone call from 682-777-2847 saying the IRS was suing me. After many tries I did talk to a person who called himself Sam Anderson, IRS agent, badge #74954876. Could barely speak English and ask me to give him the last four of my SS#. When I refused he hung up. I will be in contact with Better Business.

I came home & found a robo call telling me the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Tried calling & the phone rang & rang. tried again & got nothing but a busy signal
