Most likely scammers under the guise of debt collecting.
Got a letter stating auto pay for Norton auto-renewal. Called the number. The agent who sounded like a call center from India. He said he would reverse the charge but wanted me to type in a URL on my browser. When I did, I noticed something downloaded on my PC, which was connectwise. Then he wanted me to log in to my bank account so he can reverse the charges. I realized he must've remotely activated the remote app so he can see my screen. I told him I logged in to my bank account using my mobile app. He insisted I do it from the PC, otherwise, he would not be able to help me. I asked what the difference was, he just kept insisting. I told him I wasn't doing it so he hung up. I immediately unplugged my network cable and removed everything that was installed on my PC that day. Be aware of this scam because it really sounded legit, at first.
This is suppose to be the number for direct express fraud prevention number
Remarkable that they even left 2 phone messages and an account reference number! Glad I checked with this site. Thanks.
Gives a reference number. Has to be bogus. No names used, no state referenced and always unknown on caller ID
We are a Non Profit organization and do not want telemarketers bothering us. We have signed up with the Do Not Call Registry, but they still get through. How can we stop them?
Calls everyday. Finally decided to call them back. It's Wells Fargo home equity. I didn't stay on the line long enough to talk to a live person as it is a recording at first telling you about interest rates and any rates discussed are APR rates and blah blah blah. I assume they are offering some promo to lower my interest rate on my home equity line.
These people will harass you to death. I called and they were looking for a Gloria Martin... They don't care who they bother! I'm sure they must solicit all the top universities to get there employees.. DUH!!!
They called our business over and over again.
we are sick of these morons. Their recording was in a loop and fouled up our messaging by not been able to disconnect since there was nobody around. Filled our messaging system with the same inane if you this person press one, etc.etc.
If we get one more call we are going to contact the State Attorney General and file a formal complaint and see what can be done since they are interfering with our ability to conduct business as our customers cannot reach us because they are clogging our system with their unsolicited and unwelcome calls.
This company, Flash Whites, is definitely deceptive. I called this number from their Terms and Agreement page and have been on hold for at least 30 minutes each time and have yet to talk to anyone despite leaving my callback number for a call that has never come. Then they charged my account again about 2 X the stated price of the product.
