All the regular features have been added to the site and so have two more video journal entries.
The flash site is up and it has both versions of the trailer, a link to Carl's MySpace page and even an exclusive clip you can see if you beat the worst game ever. That's not an editorial comment, that's the name. Well, actually the name of the game is Go Right, but the section is called The Worst Game Ever. As the name Go Right indicates, you go right... and that's pretty much it. There are the rare obstacle you have to jump over, very rare. And I even had to fight a brownie monster. Oh, and there's a narrator. After 5 minutes he said, 'It sure would be mean if there were no clip at the end of this', and I assumed there wouldn't be a clip. After 15 minutes I figured there would be a clip, but it would be really short. After 25 minutes I didn't care if there was no clip, I just wanted the game to end, but it's my job, so I continued. After 30 minutes, when I finally beat the game, I got to watch the clip. I won't give it away here, but I will give you a small hint. It's mostly the end credits. The entire end credits. Now I must go down to the Adult Swim home offices and discuss my displeasure with them is a calm and not at all violent way. Just to emphasize, I am not making up any of these times. It really does take 30 minutes to finish the game, and oh boy, it's not worth it. And what ever you do, do not hit the teleport button while playing, it just takes you back to the beginning.
All the usual features are here and there are quite a few extras as well. For instance, there's a personality quiz, a create your own blues song, and a section called the experience. Overall the site sells the movie well and is a contender for the Weekly Website Award.
Skate your face off was added to the site.
All the usual features are here with TV spots and clips marked coming soon.
Wow. It's been so long since this movie had a release date it fell off my radar. The site has been redesigned but the only real content is an image gallery.
The site underwent a complete redesign this weekend and the new interface is great. The amount of content is still only average, but at least it sells the movie very well.
The trailer was added to the site this week.
Two images and the first TV spot were added to the site. Based on what I've seen so far, I think they studio knows what made the first movie a surprise hit and they could have a repeat success here.
Just the basics, but the trailer is enough to sell anyone on the movie. ... Or convince them there's something wrong with Canada. ... Or both. The correct answer is both.
Just the synopsis and the trailer, which means there hasn't been an update in a month.
Most of the usual features are here as well as some extras in the form of clips. These include a time-lapse photography clip of the creation of the chicken mascot.
Several more clips with Chris Rock were added to the site. These are not safe for work, but they are a lot of fun. On a side note, the intro is just too long when you sit down and watch more than a couple in a row.
A couple more sections were added this week and I'm really liking this site. It might be a little early to give it the Weekly Website Award, but it is close.
Character bios were added this week.
There's a new video clips that can be found here.
The new TV spot was added this week.
A game was added to the site and it's a target practice game. (No surprise there given the subject of the movie.)
No real content so far.
Just the very basics with not enough style to sell the movie.
The site crashed my system again. That's three times and I'm blacklisting it. It's just not stable enough to risk going to it each week.
Just the trailer, which is offsite.
No real content so far.
This is not a bad site overall. There's all the usual features, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, production notes, image gallery, and trailers). There are also plenty of extras like clips, behind-the-scenes featurette, even a blooper real and that's not a common feature. Finally there are interactive features like a personality quiz to figure out which biker you are, (I'm Dudley), two games, (Hogs on the Run is the better of the two games but I suggest taking the Chopper, you don't need the speed), and a custom bike builder, (there weren't enough choices in some parts, but overall it was still good). While the movie itself doesn't look particularly good, that won't stop the site from winning the tricked out Weekly Website Award.
All the usual features are here, (including some extras like a music video), and there's enough style to keep a surfer's interest.
All the usual features are here, plus some background information.
