Now the edible items including rice, pulses, cooking oil, grams, gram flour (
besan), sugar, dates and juices are available in stores.
Special Magistrate Sharif Gul along with his team was conducting price checking at Sabzi Mandi I-11/4 when he found three shops selling edibles, including sugar and
besan, on higher rates.
According to the announcement, subsidy of Rs4 per kilogram will be given for wheat flour and Rs5 per kg for sugar, Rs15 on ghee, Rs10 on cooking oil, Rs20 on daal channa [pulse], Rs15 on daal moong, Rs10 on daal maash, Rs25 on white channa [chickpeas], Rs20 on
besan [gram flour], Rs30 on dates, Rs15 on basmati and sela rice.
Split chickpeas, dates, apple, banana, chickpea flour (
besan) and lemon would be available at rate of Rs 20 per kg.
He said the government had approved Rs 2 billion Ramzan relief package-2019 while subsidy would be provided on 19 daily use items including, rice, pulses, cooking oil, grams, gram flour (
besan) sugar, juices, dates, tea, flour, milk and other used items during the month of Ramzan.
Khaman is made up of fresh chana (gram) dal or chana flour (
besan), soaked overnight in water to make a soft thick paste which has a cake batter like consistency.
