Esta pieza resulta anacronica en el Periodo Orientalizante Tardio, por lo que hace pensar en la punta de lanza de bronce hallada en la tumba 6 del
heroon excavado junto a una de las puertas de Eretria interpretada como un posible cetro (Berard, 1972), aunque en este caso aparecio en la tumba de un aristocrata, sin olvidar que el hasta o lanza era en Roma simbolo de soberania (Alfodi, 1959).
