 (kôk, kôKH), Robert 1843-1910.
German bacteriologist who identified the tubercle and cholera bacilli and the bacterial cause of anthrax. He won a 1905 Nobel Prize for developing tuberculin, which he originally hoped would cure tuberculosis.
