Koh`i`noor´

    (kō`ĭ`nŌr´)
n.1.A famous diamond, surrendered to the British crown on the annexation of the Punjab. According to Hindu legends, it was found in a Golconda mine, and has been the property of various Hindu and Persian rulers.
