PARACHINAR: The residents of Kurram tribal district have been facing numerous problems, including shortage of essential items and medicines, due to the closure of main roads and other routes for the past four months.

Even a funeral procession had to be carried on foot with the body being transported from hospital to a rural area Kendrak, some 18 kilometers away from Parachinar.

Due to the lack of petrol and diesel and closure of roads, people are compelled to travel on foot. Many are unable to take their patients to the hospital.

Member Provincial Assembly Ali Hadi Irfani has demanded the government to take strict action against the miscreants where violations of the peace agreement had occurred. He also demanded the restoration of the supply of essential goods, including food, petrol, diesel, and gas.
