The education gap is a persistent issue that continues to plague our society. I belong to Dera Ghazi Khan, a rural city where many people live in underdeveloped conditions, almost like a forgotten community. Women, in particular, face immense challenges in terms of education and even basic rights. There are hardly any educational institutions, hospitals, or industries in the area. Due to this lack of facilities, people are often forced to migrate to larger cities for education and employment. However, such migration is neither affordable nor feasible for most residents.
Young girls are still being married off and they are frequently denied the opportunity to pursue education. While we live in an era of technological advancement, illiteracy and issues like early marriages continue to hinder progress. I urge educators, the government, and policymakers to address these challenges. It is crucial to foster a culture that prioritises humanity, equality, and education. We must create an environment that empowers women and provides equal opportunities for all, ensuring a brighter future for our community and state.
