Freight-Shipped Furniture Options
Some items, such as larger furniture pieces, ship by freight truck. The product page or shopping cart will tell you if this is required for the piece(s) you're ordering (many come apart to ship by regular UPS or FedEx). This page will help you choose the best shipping method for your needs. Do you prefer speed? Inside delivery? Lower cost? Each has its advantages. We're happy to answer questions!
REMEMBER that most furniture is built to order. You'll find the build time estimate on the product page, which is usually 3-8 weeks. Delivery time estimates here are the transit time AFTER your furniture is complete. As an example, a piece taking about six weeks to build and one week to ship will arrive in about seven weeks.
How are freight furniture orders shipped?

Are there any extra charges?
Assuming things go as normal, this is the total freight cost. You do agree to cover any costs as follows:
- missed appointment that requires redelivery (usually $25-40)
- delayed appointment (truck waiting time) > 15 minutes (usually $15 per quarter hour)
- modifying the delivery method, such as requesting inside delivery when curbside delivery was arranged (usually $30-95; not possible with Saver)
Shipments to Alaska or Hawaii will have a higher freight cost based on exact address. Please contact us beforehand or place your order and we'll contact you for the additional amount.
What if I order furniture with other items and want some shipped Standard and some Expedited?
Usually it would be easiest to place two orders. While you save a bit on shipping by ordering items together, that amount may not be a big factor when ordering items by both freight and parcel shipping in one order.
If you'd like to order regular and frieght items together with one part Standrad and one part Expedited, we can either set your order up for you manually and e-mail you a link to a secure payment page or you can place the entire order as Expedited and send us a note telling us which item(s) to ship Standard. We'll then refund the difference for the items you want shipped Standard.
Ordering more than one piece of furniture?
If the pieces you're ordering happen to ship from the same location you'll see some pretty good savings on freight in the cart. You can also e-mail us before you order so we can custom quote shipping for you and manually set up your order if there's some potential savings.
