Entre Latas is the first establishment in Barcelona focused exclusively on canned and tinned edibles. You’ll find products that are representative of countries and regions around the world, showing off the best they produce and preserve: smoked Danish delicacies, tinned fish from Portugal, treats from La Mancha, Galician seafood and other specialities from ten geographical spots across the globe, from the United States to Latvia, Mexico, Germany and the United Kingdom.
This is an ideal place to learn about and enjoy the trends in food that are making our mealtimes more interesting and fun. The shop has many versions of traditional dishes that incorporate new ingredients, like 'fabada' bean stew with sea urchin and wild mushrooms, asparagus stuffed with lobster, and scallops with coconut and ginger. Another plus of these tinned goodies are the beautifully designed packaging: don't miss the work of art that is Miss Lola's oil, for example. Don't worry about the prices, as you can taste things deli-style, such as a tomato-based 'salmorejo' pâté, smoked Portuguese mussels and Latvian 'espasins' (sprats) for just a couple of euros.
The shop is located in an old wine cellar, so you can also buy red and white vermouth from the barrel, as well varietals from Priorat, Penedès and La Rioja, an organic Verdejo, port wine, Gandesa, muscatel, and 'vi ranci', which is sweeter than it sounds.
