Emmy nominations are just around the corner and after our success in 2015 with a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding TV Movie for Agatha Christie’s Poirot, we’ve been excited to get back in the Emmy game! This year, Acorn TV is eligible to submit four original programs: Agatha Christie’s The Witness for the Prosecution, Striking Out, Close to the Enemy, and The Level.
We are thrilled to be submitting these shows for Emmy consideration but we need your help in getting the shows and actors on the voter’s radar. Please visit Gold Derby, the leading awards predictor website to cast your vote. Once you have created an account, click “Make your predix here,” scroll down to choose “TV Awards” and then click on “Emmy Awards Nominations 2017.” When you vote, look for our categories across the rotating banner, find our show or actor and click the arrow next to it. Binge alert: all eight seasons of #WildAtHeart are now streaming on #AcornTV! In this hit #British #drama series, a newly blended family finds common ground in the African bush. The Trevanions are a troubled brood when father Danny takes them on a trip to Africa. Vacation turns to vocation when they decide to restore a rundown game reserve.
Coming March 17: Striking Out, starring Amy Huberman (The Clinic). Hailed as “a roaring success” (Irish Independent), this legal drama charmed audiences across the pond, quickly becoming Ireland’s #1 new drama.

But Tara’s life is turned upside down after she discovers her betrothed in bed with a colleague. Abandoning her wedding plans (and her job), Tara strikes out on her own, starting an unconventional private practice. At first unsure how she’ll cope, Tara begins to realize she is more than capable of being on her own – both personally and professionally.
