Heya anon! So, Princess Elise huh?
I agree that she doesn't deserve the hate she gets 100% but I do also agree that some choices for her as a character were a little bit off.
I like to think that if Elise was a sonic character (in the sense of like... cartoon animal thing?) The romance between her and Sonic would've been so much well accepted with everyone, because its a bit jarring seeing a hedgehog kiss a human... At least for a lot of people LOL.
To be completely honest, I can't say that I don't like her. Because I really find her fascinating as a character.
She's a cool concept, I can see what they were intending to do with her, but the execution was a bit off. (Like the entirety on Sonic '06)
Even with it being a bit awkward with the kiss and that she's a bit too much of a "damsel in distress" (because COME ON she's supposed to be a leader. If she had a teensy tiny more fight in her it wouldn't be too much of a issue. For me. This is a personal observation, so don't take it too seriously, haha!)
Its just a clear case of the ยด06 syndrome, as I have dubbed it. The idea was very very cool, but the execution was not handled properly.
Tldr, Elise cool, '06 development not so cool.
