Jedi Padme and Anakin is the Anidala au I love so much with so much potential and possibilities
Someday I'll Write It:
They called her Lady Vader when they thought she was out of earshot.
But their whispers weren't as quiet as they prided themselves on -- she always heard.
At first, the name was like a sharp knife edge drawn along her soft, pale skin. She bled. No, she outright hemorrhaged from such an evil association.
No one understood the tight rope she and her husband walked to play the Empire right under its very nose. And to navigate such a precipitous wire under very public scrutiny added a pressure that would crush most couples beneath its clandestine, strenuous weight.
But they had carried heavy secrets since the start of their relationship that additional strain was barely of concern or notice to either of them at this point.
Like oxen under an overburdened yoke, they just put their heads down and trundled forward. Together.
So when 'at first' turned into 'on the regular', she embraced it. Her wardrobe darkened to blacks and deep browns to mimic her husband's public silhouette. Ironically, the more her fabrics shrouded and shaded her, the less severe her hairstyle and makeup became, as if softening her face could remind them of what really mattered.
She was love walking in shadow.
And so eventually, Lady Vader became a mantle to be worn with pride.

I hope it's ok to message you like this!! I just wanted to say I haven't seen Clone Wars and it's mainly because Hayden didn't voice Anakin. Now that I learned about how they didn't even approach Hayden to join and left him out intentionally and all the bs the voice actor who did said about him, I want to watch it even less. Do you recommend watching it? Should I still watch it despite how Hayden was treated, because I will be fuming while watching it.
If you enjoy animation and want to get deeper into the prequels era of Star Wars lore then yes I do recommend Clone Wars. The initial movie is pretty meh and it takes a bit to really get going but many of the arcs in season 3, 4 and 5 and the final 4 episodes of the series (Season 7) are top-tier Star Wars.
I did struggle with Anakin in the Clone Wars and this was long before I found out about the behind-the-scenes stuff. The way Hayden was excluded did stink (especially since he seemed to find out about the whole thing in this red carpet interview) but I think what was worse was how much they seemed to want to distance Clone Wars Anakin from Hayden’s portrayal of Anakin. Obi-Wan and Padme still look, sound and act very much like their prequels counterparts but Anakin feels like an entirely different character. (I also don’t love the way Anidala is portrayed).
I’ve heard some fan theories that Clone Wars Anakin is so different because we’re seeing him through Ahsoka’s (idolizing) eyes, also this could be seen as the Republic Wartime Propaganda version of him, the famed ‘Hero With No Fear’. Having that in mind did somewhat help me reconcile the gap between the portrayals as I watched the first time. Plus Hayden did eventually get the chance to be a TWC version of Anakin in the Ahsoka series (which was a highlight of the series imho) so I think that will help on Clone Wars rewatches. And all this said, there’s plenty of other great characters and stories to enjoy.

Some Anidala fanart . Hopefully this comes across, but it’s meant to be from Anakin/Vader’s memory. I had a lot of fun with the clothing and lighting with this one :D
Today’s installment of “I watch Hayden Christensen’s filmography and tell you how pretty he is in it” is Vanishing on 7th Street (2010)
Hayden plays Luke, a local newscaster who wakes up to find nearly everyone in the city has mysteriously disappeared after a blackout. With a small group of survivors he fights to keep the ever encroaching darkness away.
How pretty is he in it?
He’s still in what I call the “Jumper-haircut” era which isn’t my favorite but for a guy 3 days into an apocalyptic event he looks pretty dang good here. (also I don’t know if this will make sense but “newscaster” is a perfect job for a Hayden character, he’s got the “good looking in an approachable way” thing newscasters should have)
Does he get drenched at some point? Sadly no classic Hayden drenching in this one, just some scenes with him very sweaty but still fully clothed. 1.5 💦 out of 5.
How’s the movie itself: I don’t know if it’s because I by default go into these Hayden movies with pretty minimal expectations but I actually rather liked this one? It’s billed as horror but is much more character-driven suspense with nearly no gore, which happens to be just my speed of “horror”. It has an effectively creepy atmosphere and I like the way we learn about the characters mostly through visuals and little clues. It’s definitely light on explanations, maybe a little too light on action and has a “wait it’s over?” kind of ending. The strong performances all around make up for a lot of the movie’s flaws, though does't quite overcome them.
Is the Rotten Tomatoes score unfairly low? Shockingly it’s not. It stands at nearly 50% which feels about right.
Surprise Star Wars!: Hayden playing someone named Luke who at one point is fending off the darkness with a stick of light gets a “I see what you did there” from this SW fan.
In short: I found this to be a decent October evening watch, creepy and moody, with good performances from our boy and the rest of the cast buoying a somewhat thin plot.
