across the mirror is a triannually (june, october, and february) released fanmagazine that aims to promote twisted wonderland fan content! we would be running on a specific theme every volume, which means that if you like the theme, you're more than welcome to submit! the pdfs to the magazines would be freely available to anyone who wants to read them, and yes, if you have older art/fics you think works for the theme, we'd be more than happy to have them!
currently, the theme for the upcoming first volume is 'summer'!
we will accept x reader, x oc, and platonic art and fanfiction, so long as it fits the theme :D

jack wasn't the type to the impulsive. he liked to think his decisions through, make sure he had all his facts in order before taking any step. but right now, with the way you were looking at him, eyes bright, a little confused, lips parted just enough to exhale at him all confused, he didn’t think.
he just moved.
his hands were warm as they cupped your face, rough but careful, like he was afraid he’d break you if he wasn’t gentle enough, even though he knew you wouldn't break. his ears twitched, tail stilling as he hesitated for the briefest second, and then, before doubt could creep in and ruin him, he closed the distance.
the kiss was soft but firm, rough yet gentle- a bundle of contradictions like the man you'd come to love. he lingered just a moment longer than he meant to, or was likely meant to, savoring the feeling of your touch before pulling away. his ears flattened, golden eyes flicking to yours, searching for something- maybe disapproval, or shock, or something else.
"sorry, [name]." he muttered, voice quieter than usual. "i, uh. i wanted to do that for a while."
you blinked at the low confession, stunned, before a slow smile bloomed at your lips. jack swallowed, ears perking up just as you whispered with a smirk, "then maybe you should do it again."
and this time, he didn’t hesitate.

So when you start giving him small, thoughtful gifts—maybe a handmade bracelet in his favorite colors, or a little charm to attach to his bag,he’s stunned. His ears twitch, and he holds the gift like he doesn’t quite know what to do with it.
“★You made this… for me?” His voice is quieter than usual, and for the first time, you see his usually composed expression crack just a little. He’s flustered. And even though he tries to play it cool, you can tell by the way he holds onto your gift so carefully that it means the world to him. From then on, he treasures every little thing you make, keeping them all stored safely in his room.
★It takes him a while to get comfortable with physical affection, but once he does, he secretly loves it. Jack acts like he doesn’t need it, but the moment you lean against him or hug him out of nowhere, his tail starts wagging before he can stop it. He’ll grumble about it if you point it out, looking away with an embarrassed expression, but he never pulls away. And when no one’s watching, he’s the one who subtly pulls you closer, resting his chin on your head or letting you lean against him for as long as you want.
★Jack isn’t loud about his feelings, but he makes you feel safe, valued, and deeply, unshakably loved. He might not say “I love you” often, but he shows it in everything he does,in the way he walks on the side of the path closest to the road, in the way he remembers your favorite things, in the quiet, steady presence he always keeps by your side.
★And in return, you make him feel something he never expected,cherished, cared for, and loved not for his strength, but for who he truly is.

😭😭😭yes!!! I was out for an entire week for a trip so I haven't commented on it 😭
I DO like the groovy in general and I like how the angle really.....values his silhouette (groovies where I can see his waist and arms properly are my favorite ones ig) but something about his face looks a bit off to me,,???? It looks off model... (and, groovies where the characters look off model are unfortunately really recurrent since 2023 💀) so for my own peace of mind I did an edit;

For comparison, I darkened his skin a little bit (even with the lighting, it still feels a little whitewashed) narrowed his eyes and made it smaller/sharper (I think the big wide eyes is what is irking me. It gives him a younger/cuter look that makes him look uncanny.) elongated his jaw a little bit and corrected the...squareness (once again what's with these groovies making his jaw look so square and rigid 💀) and elongated his ears (HE HAS WOLF EARS THEY ARE LONG, HES SUPPOSED TO HAVE LONGASS EAARSSSSS)
