Ppl don’t understand, I am not against AI and tech. I am standing for consent and approval, miyazaki disapproved any linking of ai to his art and still ppl are doing it anyway. Its a disrespect. Respect the artis and their choices.

How can people even enjoy such kind of trend, you don’t even know ghibli studio never heard of it and now you want to watch it because of the trend and do the photo thing.

Why do they have to copy the things that already exist perfectly as they are??? Why are they so adamant to involve AI in things that humans are already very capable of doing? Like any form of art??? Make the work easier DON'T MAKE MONEY BY DISRESPECTING SOMEONE'S LIFETIME'S WORTH OF WORK!! Ethics and morality have lost their importance honestly! And the fact that we have to even argue about it is straight up stupid.

Well now they(the AI companies) have people's photos in their databases to teach their AI more, which ig was the goal for doing this. You see when something becomes a trend or is denoted as being cute, people blindly want to try out that thing. There are theories suggesting that OpenAI paid celebrities to try out this new feature. This is/was a business stunt fs. Also animated art is thought to be cute so it became a trend easily. This is stupid also in the sense that people don't know the consequences. Giving out your photos to AI is the same as giving out your photos to a human being. The only difference is that human beings might forget to save it but AI will have it saved forever. If something bad happens then identity theft is a thing too- Also there are environmental consequences of using Gen AI- I feel sad for Miyazaki like think about it- how would you feel if the only thing you loved doing/making was stolen from you? Man gave life to art. People didn't even care before (before this trend) when I talked about Ghibli but now it's all over the internet and for unnecessary reasons.

It was only a smile, nothing more. It didn't make everything all right. It didn't make ANYTHING all right. Only a smile. A tiny thing. A leaf in the woods, shaking in the wake of a startled bird's flight. But I'll take it. With open arms.
