I finally took the time to photograph my vintage dip pen nib collection, and I need to share with you all how wonderful and diverse their designs are.

These two are my favorite. Just look at them! One of them is named Gorille and the other Mephisto, but to me they're little pumpkins.

And of course you gotta love the Pinocchio nib. You get to write with the nose of a tiny guy! Just not something you get to do anymore.

the thing about being nonbinary is that you really do start to forget that other people have such strict walls around what is and isn’t allowed for genders. i thought we all agreed that we made that up. could you climb out of the cave real quick and feel the sunshine for a minute.

Our last dean talked about how “I couldn’t do it without Terry, she absolutely is the one who really runs this place” but did he take her on any of his jaunts where he had very expensive dinners with very rich alumni?  No he did not.  And unless the pay bands are a lie, she makes about 1/4 of what he makes and did not get part of his golden parachute when he retired to write his memoirs.

Moral of the story is that almost no one is “paid what they’re worth” because frankly she’s worth 4x what he is and realistically their paychecks should be flipped.  And yet here we are, in a world where half the responses to this are variants on “only an admin.”

Some old concept work I did for a game called Open Roads for Annapurna back in 2019. The project’s setting changed time periods from the 60s to the 90s since I did these. These images were a design for the Detective’s office location as well as a pitch for the art style, A sort of 60s advertising illustration look with lots of flat color and lots of detail that retains depth. #
