chiron, the wounded healer (asteroid 2060)

Chiron is the son of the titan Cronus and the oceanid Philyra. He was written as the only centaur that was humane (the others were viewed as savages - they drank too much and were very lustful). He also appeared more humanoid than his brethren (who were actually not created by Cronus and Philyra but by Ixion and Nephele) - his front legs were human while his back legs were hoofed like a horse’s (contrary to these images - i guess everyone avoids the abnormal (we are counting you, dali lol) in ancient art *eye roll*). He was an excellent teacher and healer. Chiron lived happily with his partner, Chariklo, and his four children. He taught many famous heroes: Asclepius (mentioned in my Apollo post as his son), Ajax, Achilles, Theseus, Jason, Perseus, etc. But it was Hercules that did him in… Chiron’s injury is the result of an event that takes place in another centaur’s story (Pholus). Chiron, who was living amongst the centaurs, went to see what the commotion was only to be hit by one of those poisonous arrows by mistake. Chiron went unnoticed in the chaos of that cave - while he did not die due to his immortality, he was in pain too so do much of anything. Hercules who discovered Chiron on his way out and asked for his help (*eye roll* he’s in pain, hercules, leave that poor centaur alone). Chiron generously gave up his immortality to end the pain but also in aid of freeing Prometheus. Chiron then was brought to Mount Olympus to be with the gods. Chiron is considered a burden or a source of suffering we are forced to endure our whole lives. But IN MY OPINION, in addition to that interpretation, it can also mean a) where you are considered the expert, b) where you may be viewed as humane/caring when you are the one in need of being cared for, and/or c) where you tend to be viewed as unique.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of chiron along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of chiron AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede chiron!

Although you may have minimal friends since Saturn rules over restriction/lack, the friends you do make you will keep for a long time since Saturn also rules over old age/longevity. It’s possible you weirdly attract a lot of friends similar to your father. You also attract friends that are responsible, hard-working, consistent, and/or self-disciplined. Pheme put on multiple personas. This means the Greek Mythology meaning of this asteroid is acting fame (lies+illusion+character=acting) and also rumors that can be spread about you when famous

Another meaning of Fama could be “famous” in general since Fama in Latin translates to famous. I’ve noticed that a lot of asteroids are based on the Latin language. Most likely because it’s one of the oldest languages
