if I had a nickel for every time Kai met a character much younger than him, initially found them annoying, begrudgingly bonded with them, became a mentor to them, and eventually grew to view them as family, I'd have 2 nickels.

which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

idk, i just feel like if your primary argument against transandrophobia/antitransmasculinity theory is that you think it's transmisogynistic you're not being intellectually honest. who does it hurt when trans men and mascs coin a term to describe the intersection of transphobia and sexism as it most frequently affects them? because it does hurt trans men when they're told that they're not entitled to speak on the discrimination they themselves face.

what I'm hearing from people who oppose the antitransmasculinity movement is that transmisogyny is when trans men talk about their problems πŸ‘, but obviously that's not true. i know that's not true. you know that's not true. so then what is the issue? genuinely, enlighten me. you want trans men to shut up and listen? I'm listening.

Hi, trans man here, and as someone who experiences transandrophobia, let me say that the point is not to compartmentalize oppression but find terms that DESCRIBE it. Trans men and mascs experience a very different flavor of sexism and bigotry than trans women and femmes, it's sad but true. They're dehumanized while we're often infantilized, and while both are demeaning, they create a lot of divides between us. Trans men are often met with a level of erasure and dismissed concerns that make us feel invisible, completely forgotten about and 'disproved'. Books like Irreversible Damage paints young trans men as lost young girls who are turned off from womanhood thanks to the trauma of sexism and completely delegitimizes our existence. Meanwhile, trans women are disproportionately forced into the spotlight and accused of being vicious predators, monsters, ect. because it all circles back around to the sexualization of women's bodies and the white cis idea of purity and virtue. So, no, we're not being trans misogynistic, we are clearly defining your trans misogyny. Don't get it twisted.
