Re: the coldplay concert CEO affair thing. I’ve seen people being like “cheating is bad but so is filming strangers in public without their knowledge or consent” something I agree with in almost every circumstance but this wasn’t like someone taking their phone out to film the people standing next to them at the concert. They were on the kiss cam. I think it’s sort of different. Pretty much all concert venues have lots of signs being like. By entering this area you are consenting to being recorded. I think it’s slightly different. Also if we can’t laugh at the humiliation of the CEO of a big AI company what can we laugh at.

  1. (For the chronically, terminally honest) - all your volunteering now counts as "prior job experience". Anything, ANYTHING, that you volunteered for? That's a job experience! Helped run a bake sale? "Some prior retail experience". Donated time to a dogwalking charity? "Previous animal-handling experience during course of professional interactions with clients". Campaigned for a political movement? "Prior experience in local politics". THESE ARE ALL PRIOR EXPERIENCES.
  2. (For those who are comfortable with a smidgen of manipulating the truth) - your education is an experience. Have you been studying biology? "Some experience working with plants". Have you been learning how to use excel and word (if not, learn how)? "Proficient in office software".
  3. (For those who need a job ASAP) - what's the worst they can do, fire you?? You currently don't have a job lol. Say whatever needs to be said to get enough of a job that you're there for a few months. If you look like you might be doing shit, quit and either don't include it on your resume (you're at an age where a blank space on your resume isn't a shit thing to see) or just list it generically as "prior food service experience (2024-2025)" for example. THEY'RE NOT GONNA CALL YOUR REFERENCES FOR A JOB AT MACCAS. They're just NOT. For real, what's the worst they can do? You already have no job, and you're looking to get like... 3 months under your belt. That's all. You can do this!
