You know… there’s this one scene at the end of Book 24 of the Odyssey that I am surprised none of the Epic the Musical fanfic writers have used for angst. (Or if anyone has, I’ve not read it!)

So, you know the bit where the suitors’ families show up looking for a fight, and Athena basically tells them to shut up and go home? Well, Odysseus still wants to fight them. But Zeus has decided that the fighting should be done, so, as a warning, he throws down a bolt of lightning.
