Alright, I need to send out a plea for help to every Mystrade fanficiton reader I can. I'm looking for a Mystrade fanfiction that I read several years ago (somewhere between 2017 - 2020) and I've worked my way through every single bookmark I have, every fic rec list I can find, every tag that seems like it might have been on it, and I can't find it.
I've been thinking about this fic for honestly several weeks now. If it's deleted I'll be a little heart broken, but I'm expecting it at this point. I just need to know if I'm mixing up like 4 different stories into one or if anyone recognizes it as something that actually existed at one point. I am on my knees begging. Please please just tell me this used to exist.
I'm pretty sure it was a slow-burn between the two of them (Something like strictly business to texting to friends to fwb maybe?). I think Greg spends a lot of time with Mycroft in his cars, like that's their only interaction for quite awhile. They also text and eventually Mycroft warms up to Greg.
Mycroft was pretty insecure and had an eating disorder that was a decently big plot point. I think I remember Anthea noticing how he was eating more because of Greg. I also think Greg knows eventually, and on a few occasions encourages Mycroft to eat. Mycroft might also get migraines/headaches?
Mycroft also had a pretty shitty ex boyfriend who called him fat, I think? The first time he and Greg have sex he may have tried to have Greg fuck him without any lube or anything because his boyfriend was THAT shit and he didn't really know any better.
Anthea was also a pretty large character in the fic, and shipped them pretty hard, and was just an overall badass. Anthea and Greg may have had a decent friendly relationship / banter / she texts him to let him know how Mycroft is once they're in a relationship. Some or all of the story may have been told from her point of view. I remember her being in Mycroft's home delivering them groceries or changes of clothes or other supplies a few times, at least one being after Something Big and plot related happened though I don't totally remember what.
There may have been an explosion/bomb/attack on Mycroft at work at some point, and a bit of a plot point. Mycroft was trained for field work and also a bit of a badass?
There *might* have been an argument in the rain between Mycroft and Greg at some point.
I'm pretty sure Greg calls Mycroft "Myc". I want to say it was several thousand words long, maybe at least 50k words, and potentially a standalone not a series. I don't remember it being A/B/O but it could have been.
Greg was divorced. If it's not A/B/O I think Greg might have had a daughter he had a pretty decent relationship with?
