an: I'm back! Ooh a fluff story request and two time, yeah i notice too i didn't make a story about Two Time. This story is a fantasy not related to Forsaken, i want to make this into fantasy, (maybe cuz I'll been reading fantasy lately mostly dark fantasy). I hope you don't mind it and thank you for the cute request 🩷
You and Two Time finally got home and stepped inside the cabin, both of you exhausted from the chase. You had been hunting down those pesky little ghosts that had been bothering the village all week.
Dinner was quiet. You both ate in silence, still catching your breath. As you finished your meal, you caught yourself watching them, tired, but calm. When you were done, they stayed in the kitchen while you began washing the dishes. You noticed their eyes on you.
"Is something wrong?" you asked, glancing at them.
They shook their head. "I'm just tired... I want to sleep, but I want us to sleep together."
You smiled gently and patted their shoulder.
"You can go ahead and sleep first. I’ll just be in my room for a while, I need to work on some spells," you said softly.
They looked slightly disappointed but hid it quickly with a nod. As they turned to leave, you leaned in and kissed his cheek.
"I’ll be there soon," you reassured them.
You watched them walk away and felt a pang of guilt. You knew you might not make it back to them tonight, not with the spell you needed to try again. Still, you had to try.
You let Two Time sleep alone...
You made your way to your room, filled with books, potion bottles, and hanging plants. With a sigh, you sat at the table and opened the book you had been studying. You began following the instructions carefully.
Hours passed. It was already midnight. You paused and looked over your shoulder, half-expecting to see them standing at the doorway. But the entrance was empty.
Maybe they really was too tired to wait up this time.
The fire crackled quietly beside you as you worked through the night. Brewing potions, casting spells, this was your life. As a wizard, you had to seek knowledge, to improve. And deep down, you wanted to prove yourself. To show Two Time... that you were capable.
But as you flipped through the pages of the spellbook, your thoughts kept drifting. You were overthinking again, thinking about Two Time. They're asleep alone in the room, and you'd left them there without a second thought.
You tried to refocus, adjusting the position of the books in front of you. But the unease kept creeping in, gnawing at your mind until you finally stood up, leaving your chair behind as you walked toward the bedroom.
Before you could open the door, you heard it, heavy breathing. Strained, panicked. You rushed inside and saw Two Time tossing in their sleep, their breaths ragged and uneven. A nightmare.
“Two Time?! Hey, Two,” you called out, shaking his shoulder. They didn’t respond, still trapped in the dream. You shook them again, a little more firmly this time.
They jolted awake with a gasp, sitting up in bed. Without hesitation, you cupped their face in your hands.
“Two, it’s me,” you whispered gently.
Their wide eyes locked onto yours, and they breathed your name in a soft, fragile voice. You smiled at them, still holding their face with both hands, trying to offer comfort and presence.
“What happened?” you asked, wanting to understand the dream that had shaken them so deeply.
“I saw you gone,” they said quietly. “I was left alone.”
You shook your head slowly and moved closer to sit beside them on the bed, never letting go of them.
“It was just a dream. A nightmare. Nothing’s going to happen to me,” you whispered, pulling them into your arms. They leaned into you, clinging gently.
“I won’t leave you. I promise,” you said, pressing a kiss to the top of their head, your own resting against their. “You’ll never be alone. I’ll always be here with you.”
After a quiet moment, you gently pulled away and said, “Stay here. I’ll be back, I promise.”
You returned to your workspace, carefully tidying up, putting away potions and ingredients. Then you grabbed something you’d been working on for days, a small pouch filled with magic.
When you returned to their room, they looked up at you, curious. You smiled softly, walking in and blowing out the candles until the room was cast in darkness. Only the moonlight filtered through the window now.
You climbed onto the bed beside them, and they gave you a puzzled look.
“Do you want to see stars?” you asked.
They blinked. “It’s midnight… and it’s too dangerous to g—”
“Not outside,” you interrupted, smiling. “Here.”
They tilted their head. “How?”
You opened the pouch in your hand. They watched as shimmering glitters sparkled inside. You took a pinch, then threw it upward toward the ceiling. Both of you looked up, and watched the glitter bloom into glowing stars above.
Two Time's eyes widened in awe.
“They’re beautiful,” they whispered.
You smiled, watching their face soften with wonder. You moved your hand through the air, guiding the stars to dance above.
“Give me your hand,” you said softly.
They turned to you, gently placing their hand in yours. You directed one of the stars to float down toward their palm. Their eyes grew even wider as the glowing light settled into their hand.
“They’re not real stars,” you said, “but you can imagine they are.”
They gazed at the star in their palm, holding it close.
“I’m sorry for leaving you alone to sleep,” you added, gently cupping their hand in yours. “I just wanted to practice, to learn more… so that one day, you’ll see I’m good at spells. That I’m worthy.”
“You don’t have to prove anything to me,” they said softly. “You’re enough, even if you’re not perfect at magic.”
Your heart swelled at their words.
“Thank you, Two,” you said with a smile.
They smiled back, then released the star, sending it back up to the ceiling with the others. Then he opened their arms, inviting you into a hug. You gladly accepted, wrapping your arms around them.
You both stayed like that, wrapped in the warmth of each other and the magic of the stars above. As the quiet night embraced you, Two Time began to hum, a familiar lullaby. The same one you always sang to chase away his nightmares.
