Hi, just wondering if you do anything special to your pictures so they look good when you post them? Cause I've had problems with that, my images even though they looks great on my computer, when I try to post them in here they looks either too pixelated or too blurry. Any help would be highly appeciated, have a good day.

Uhh I might be the worst person to ask about this, because I don't care at all when websites crunch my PNGs or JPGs down to be blurry or grainy. The images I post are usually resized to about 800-1200px on the longest side (tumblr likes at least 500px wide), I don't do anything special with them!

The way the image looks in the dashboard itself may be a little blurry or grainy, but when people click on it or go to your blog's actual main page (blog.tumblr . com), it should be fine.

If you're talking about mobile, I have no idea because I don't use mobile, sorry

I always look through your art because it's very flowy and looseโ€”but where do you start when drawing bodies or posing characters? This varies for me and I think that's my issue. As always, I admire what you create and I love coming back here to see new things. :)

Hello! thank you for enjoying it and coming back now and then! I'm not sure exactly in what way you mean by "where do you start" but I'll try my best to answer. I've also never really thought about this before so I'm also struggling to articulate haha

I tend to sketch without structure or construction (no circle-and-block figures) and instead let the lines do the shape work, because I get too stiff otherwise. I'll start drawing wherever the idea feels strongest- sometimes the legs, or the shoulder, etc. I don't always draw the head first.

Sometimes I'm just drawing where my hand wants to go or what feels fun or looks nice, I don't necessarily have a solid idea of what I want to draw, I just kind of make it up as I go. Other times I may have a more specific idea, like "dancing with a skeleton" or "A holding B dramatically," in which case there's more thought, but I usually end up still going by what "feels" right, if that makes sense. I'd rather capture the FEEL of what I'm drawing, rather than if it's structurally or anatomically correct. I think I'm relying on muscle memory and mental library for this.

And so, sometimes it's good to just go back to the beginning - go look at reference! Study photos and draw poses that are similar to what you want to draw to get a feel for it, then go back and try again on your own. Build that mental library and muscle memory!

every time your art shows up on my dash it brightens my day. old art, new art, daily art or art after years of silence, it doesnโ€™t change that. I should interact with it and you more but sometimes I just donโ€™t get the energy to do more than hit the reblog button. Anyway is there any food from your culture that you think everyone should try?

aw, thank you! You say that, but I recognize your username, so you interact with it plenty for me to notice!

Not from my culture specifically, but the last year I've been on a sardine kick, sampling different brands and types. Tasty easy protein and particularly great on rice! I guess the "on rice" part can be cultural lol
