Go read the cutest RWRB fic by @tasteofoxidation for this to make sense, featuring accidental cat parent ACD, Davit the sphynx cat & David the beagle, and radio show host Henry helping them out. I couldn't resist and had to draw Alex in a cat pouch hoodie!

"There is at least one color blind synesthete on record who reported that she could see colors in numbers that she couldn't see in the real world; referring to them as "martian colors". Her color anomaly, caused by deficient cone pigments, allowed her to see only a limited range of real colors. But perhaps the color neurons in V4, having been specified genetically, were largely intact and were being indirectly stimulated by cross activation via graphemes. (Ramachandran and Hubbard, 2001b). This negates the memory association theory and supports the sensory cross activation theory."

What the FUCK

there is someone walking on the sidewalk in front of my frontyard who is so loud (on what i presume is a phone because i can't hear a response) i can hear them clearly even all the way up in my bedroom, and tbh, if i walked into my home to find my sister in MY bathrobe drinking MY white claws after fucking MY husband, i would also probably be loud enough to qualify as a public radio broadcast about the situation

if anyone needs me ill be thinking about acd wearing this hat for the rest of the night

man…seeing glimpses of everyone’s personal lives after the shift got me. abbot is an amputee…mel and her sister…whitaker’s homeless…i love that they did that. doctors aren’t gods. they can do miraculous things but at the end of the day they’re still people, and everyone’s going through something.
