6:50am
the light from outside peaked through the curtains of your room as your alarm rang off. groaning, you turn it off and sat upright in your bed. after a few minutes, you decided to finally get ready to go to the cafe.
‘oh god my hair is a mess…’ you looked straight at yourself in the mirror. strands of hair tangled and flying everywhere. taking your pink hair brush, you untangled your hair, earning a few yelps of pain. you then brushed your teeth and did your normal skincare routine.
‘what should I wear…’ you contemplated on your outfit, digging through your closet. you pulled out a pair of baggy jeans from hollister (the one with a bow on the back), and a babydoll top. you changed into your clothes and put on your aritzia super puff jacket, checking the mirror and nodding in approval. then, you quickly grabbed your airpods from your desk and put on your vaseline lip therapy in pretty peach color.
7:40am
you’re currently standing in the order line at sweet cheeks cafe. you have made the effort to be woken up extra early today (snoozed 3 times) so you can deliver kazuha food.
‘is it me or is this line not moving?’ you thought to yourself.
your thoughts were interrupted when the cashier called out to you, clearly annoyed that you were distracted. a faint tint of pink bloomed on your cheeks.
‘good job embarrassing yourself yn…’
“hello! welcome to sweet cheeks cafe! what can I get for you?” the cashier asked, putting her cheerful facade back on.
ignoring the fact that she just yelled at you, you placed your order. “hi! can I get a brown sugar crème brulee latte, the scooby doo sandwich, and a chocolate chip cookie?”
the cashier hums as she puts your order in at the register. you looked at her golden name tag, reading “natalie.”
“anything else?” natalie looks back up at you, waiting for your answer.
“oh uh… can I also get the [drink of your choice] please?” you responded, biting the inside of your cheek.
natalie smiled and nodded. “what’s your name for this order?”
“yn.” she hummed a mhm back.
“okay, that’ll be $28.99. cash or card?” she asked, her nails tapping on the counter.
“do you guys take apple pay?”
“we sure do. scan right here.” natalie pointed to a device with her perfectly manicured finger. you pulled out your phone and scanned the device.
“we’ll call you when your order is ready. thanks for purchasing at sweet cheeks cafe!” she handed you your receipt and smiled at you, but it was gone in a second.
“thank you…” you muttered as you moved to the pick up area.
you pulled out your AirPods and stuffed them inside your ears. you then went on spotify and played your go-to playlist.
‘navia did a good job decorating this place,’ you hummed. the walls were decorated with paintings and posters. some of the posters were of the k-pop group newjeans, but most were of strawberry shortcake and cats. a giant plants were littered all around the cafe, and beabadoobee is playing in the background.
“yn?” an employee read the name on the bag, and looked around.
you quickly went up to them, and said a thank you before taking the bag.
as you pushed the door open to leave, you took your own drink and unwrapped the straw, pushing it in. you put it up to your lips and took a sip.
‘sweet…’ you thought.
you walked out of the cafe and onto the streets. pulling out your phone, you went on twitter as you started heading to the soccer field.
‘i swear you’re in my head through the day I can say that for a fact’
just as you were walking, someone bumped into you, making you drop your drink. you looked at the ground, appalled, with your drink spilling everywhere.
looking up, you met the gaze of familiar violet eyes.
“are you not going to apologize?” you jabbed at him.
he just scoffed in response. “it wasn’t my fault your shaky hands dropped your drink.”
“are you fucking kidding me? you’re the one that bumped into me, smartass!” you’re absolutely flabbergasted at his audacity.
he grumbled and started to walk away, completely ignoring what you said.
however, you grabbed the sleeve of his jacket, forcing him to stop and look back at you. unamused eyes bore met you once again.
“can you let go?”
“listen here, you’re going to go into that cafe right there and buy me another drink.” your grip on his jacket’s sleeve tightened.
“yeah, there’s no chance I’m doing that. stop being so dramatic.” he retorted back.
you slapped him. “fucking moron.” you gave him a dirty look before walking away.
you can’t see if he’s shocked or pissed, but he probably is. and he deserved that slap anyways.
8:00am
who does he think he is? on the way to the field, you were talking shit about him in your head. things like: he has an ugly haircut, his name is stupid, etc.
finally, you reached the field and saw all of TVU’s soccer players practicing, including fucking scaramouche.
‘how did he get here so fast? I’m pretty sure he’s not that tall.’
“kazuha!” you called out, attracting the attention of many of the soccer players.
his head perked up and started jogging towards you.
“right on time. I’m starving.” he took the paper bag from you and digged through its contents.
“at least you’re having a good morning,” you mumbled.
kazuha raised an eyebrow at you, confused by what you said. “what do you mean?” he took a big bite of his sandwich and waited for your response.
“so basically when I was walking to the field fucking scaramouche bumped into me and made my drop my drink.”
he hummed in response.
“and then I slapped him.”
cough cough kazuha clearly didn’t expect that, considering that he quite literally choked.
“what the hell is wrong with you?” you didn’t think it was that big of a deal. he has an obnoxious personality.
taking a sip of his drink, kazuha managed to cough out a “you WHAT?”
then, he started… laughing?
“are you bipolar? what’s so funny?” you’re unamused.
“no way you actually slapped him? that must of been embarrassing for him.”
you looked around the fields, all of the curious eyes on the two of you. turning your head to the left, you locked eyes with scaramouche. you quickly looked away.
“eugh… I just met eye contact with scaramouche, gross.”
kazuha chuckled. “well I have to get back on the field or else coach is gonna yell at me. see you back at home.”
“okay, bye!”
[back on the field]
“yo kazuha is that your girl?” a teasing heizou grinned.
“ew hell no.” kazuha scrunched up his face in disgust.
“what’s that in your hands? can I have some?” heizou peeked in the paper bag.
“shut up or else I’ll have you running laps.” kazuha threatened.
“woah..! you got it captain.” heizou raised his hands in mock surrender, backing up.
xiao then walked up to him, asking “who was that?”
“my sister.” he said nonchalantly.
“that’s your sister dude? is she perhaps single? asking for a friend, of course.” heizou came up again.
“shut the fuck up.”
“oh man.” heizou whined.
“she’s your sister? the one with an attitude?” scaramouche scoffed.
intrigued, xiao asked “you know her?”
“yeah she fucking slapped me.”
heizou bursted out laughing. “serves you right.” kazuha replied.
“heizou, i swear to god if you don’t stop laughing!”

xiao - first year, 18. computer science major. striker for the tvu boys soccer team. much more of a listener than talker. met scara in middle school during gym class by playing soccer with him. used to be everyone's hallway crush (still is) in high school. surprisingly hu tao's cousin.

kazuha - second year, 19. literature major because he loves to read and make poems. yn's older brother. part of the tvu boys soccer team (goalkeeper) and the captain. quiet but also crazy (lowkey like yn). met scara in elementary school because of childe.

yn - first year, 18. broke and sleep deprived biology major. the younger sister of kazuha, but nobody really knows that (because nobody asked). chose biology because she wants to go pursue medicine. if you ask her why, she'll say it's because she loves to help others! but everyone knows it's (partially) because of the money. formed the entire friend group and now they all gossip and crash out together! probably the most introverted out of all of them.
lumine
lumine - first year, 18. communications major, and the twin of aether. she has a semi-popular blog where she shares her daily life and makes silly videos with the group, but not a lot of people outside of school knows about it. met yn during elementary school by sharing her crayons with her. mostly the person yn rants to and she gives good advice (sometimes). people say she's just as delusional as yn, maybe that's why they're so close.
hu tao
hu tao - first year, 18. business major and xiao's cousin. took over her grandfather's funeral parlor as the 77th director. she took business to better help the parlor flourish, but her "strange and cheerful" personality sometimes scares costumers away... met yn from lumine in middle school. she gives yn advice on her relationships and basically anything, although they are not that good as she claims it to be.
furina
furina - first year, 18. drama and directing major. furina has always been talented on stage, even landing as a huge child actress when she was younger. these days however, she's more into directing than acting. she met yn in middle school during a film production project for credits, and the two then became friends. furina looks completely put together from the outside, but she also has her moments of delusion and insanity.

navia - second year, 19. business major and culinary major. she owns a cafe called sweet cheeks that sells drinks and delicious pastries. a lot of students on campus knows her from her business. in a situationship with clorinde but if you ask her about it she'll just deny it. met yn when she accidentally bumped into her in the hallways during middle school. definitely a girls' girl.
