Pigeon attempts to court falcon
For all those in the notes - peregrine falcons hunt by dive-bombing their prey; this falcon however is currently stationary and cannot dive-bomb much of anything. In this moment, the pigeon is safe. The falcon however may not recover from the embarrassment.
I can't tell if that's a giant pigeon or a tiny falcon
Tiny falcon
this struck me

lets have a moment of appreciation for non-fandom independent wikis
@zelda-wiki thanks for not being part of that mess
Nobody hates Fandom more than communities that have left it. Especially now that Fandom has announced their plans to use generative AI to "translate" articles into other languages rather than using human contributors, and sent out a "we hear you, but we don't care" update when this was understandably met with backlash. It's a terrible idea that's probably going to poison the internet landscape as a whole with inaccurate information.
There's never been a better time to leave Fandom if you're a contributor to one of their wikis. Strike up a conversation with your team/community, but try to do it in private until it's ready because Fandom tends to take notice and punishes members who leave.
The Indie Wiki Buddy extension is a great resource for people who want to use existing alternatives to Fandom, and can bring you to mirrors of Fandom sites so you don't have to give them any ad revenue. Realistically the best thing you can do about their behavior is to stop using them altogether and support independent alternatives.
I use this extension and it's a godsend. Fandom is always at the top of the search results so if there's ever an alternative you'll want this to help you find it.
An online library of visual-narrative devices that are used in the medium of comics and other sequential art.
Happy Halloween! I'm really excited to be finally launching* what is maybe one of my most ambitious, largest work yet. This online library is the next phase of a research project that began in May 2020, when I first mused on how comics as a field doesn't have a resource that catalogues devices used in the medium. Like, theatre has devices, so does literature, and film! So why shouldn't comics? I always had an interest in comics studies and analysis. I love reading, making and thinking comics. However most of my knowledge was intuitive - I learned comics from osmosis and experience. This is true for many of my peers. Speaking about comics as a creator is hard, because we don't have a robust system of language. When we had to speak, many of us tend to reach for the language developed for film by film practitioners. If there is language specific to comics, it's either scattered in multiple blogs or hidden away in academic journals. The Comics Devices library is meant to aggregate everything and everybody into a single hub! After exploring some multiple resources, alongside some original, independent research, here is the first edition! * The Comics Devices project is still a work-in-progress! It's not final, nor will it ever be. This is why I am seeking contributors to help build this library. Translations, comics examples, etc. There is a lot of work to do! If you are interested, reply to this post or submit an expression of interest on this page. Have fun everyone!! (Now time for me to melt x_x)
you're just mad because you're hungry and tired and your legs hurt and you head hurts and you're too hot and you have depression
Dudes healthcare is so fake. My ADHD meds are $940 without insurance. But they gave me a website of "coupons" which straight up looks like a scam website, and I got it today for $60! Just a coupon from a random website and it was $900 cheaper. America, I am confusion!! America explain!!
For all my uninsured judys out there it's for Walgreens only: walgreens.rxsense.com
as a pharmacy technician i can share with you some websites that give you those "coupons" for your meds!
goodrx is the most well known one, but if i'm trying to find the cheapest price for a patient i compare it to scriptcycle, and use whichever is offering the best price. you just type in the medication (PLEASE make sure you're getting the right drug, dosage, and quantity) and your zip code and they will spit out some offers for you
some pharmacies may have their own discount card to compare to as well!
if you are getting a name brand medication, you can also look at the manufacturer's website to see if they offer any evouchers for you to use too
good luck out there 👍
another one is singlecare.com, brought my duloxetine from $240 a month to $20
and there are coupons for hrt on there as well :) different options for different pharmacies
dollarfor.org saved my broke ass, it can save urs too
