ohhh you've got a music sideblog now? give me a minute and I'll reblog all the posts, I'm still a big fan of your piano playing (we've interacted on my sideblog in the past I think?)
also the blog title sooo true poulenc is so good he's written one of my absolute favourite violin sonatas
Yeah this is an old aesthetic blog i repurposed lol
And Poulenc writes great sonatas in general, both his cello and clarinet sonatas are excellent. He really understands how to bring out the interesting and unique colors of every instrument. His concert champêtre is another really great example of his really deep orchestral and technical understanding of music. It’s a concerto featuring a harpsichord with allusions to baroque music.
This used brahms book I bought off E-bay has such nice and tidy notes from the previous owner I’m so jealous of their handwriting…. I’m trying to improve mine I think the issue is that with sheet music you have to do it all in one stroke and you can’t go over it again or it becomes too blurry to recognize instantly.
