I was literally trying to listen to singularity today but randomly cried . The situation is different for our boys because they’ve done the work and apologized but can’t help but feel subhuman in the K-pop industry where the fandoms are protecting the pinks instead of us . I’m honestly getting back to being a “causual” listener instead of a Stan with the exception of BTs & epik high. I really enjoy Koreans that are into showing their culture like BTS, Cole, Hushi, Baekhyun, IU, Heize, Dean, offonoff, crush etc
thinking about it just makes me so angry. can't even listen to any of my kpop playlists because it makes this bitter feeling root in my stomach. honestly.... there's not anything more i can say without repeating what i've already said but it's so so draining.

honestly i don’t even know what to say anymore. they KNEW what they were doing because they had to say beforehand for fans to not stop following them (so i’ve heard, i don’t follow kiof so this could be wrong). even then, i’m pretty sure one of them has been called out for using the nword before so fork found in fucking kitchen i guess. black people are just a costume to these artists and it’s just so tiring.

your focus is elsewhere, eyes glued to your phone, mindlessly scrolling as you rest comfortably on jungkook’s lap. his hands are on your waist, warm and familiar, thumbs rubbing slow circles against your skin where your shirt has ridden up.
he’s been quiet for a few minutes now, but you don’t think much of it. not until his grip tightens just slightly, fingers flexing like he’s holding himself back.
“wanna try something,” he says suddenly, voice low.
you hum absentmindedly, still scrolling. “mm? like what?”
his fingers slip lower, squeezing at your hips, a slow smirk creeping onto his lips. “wanna have you sit on my face.”
your fingers freeze mid-scroll. your phone slips from your grasp, landing somewhere on the bed, suddenly forgotten as your stomach does a little flip. blinking, you look down at him, finding those dark, expectant eyes staring up at you, his expression nothing short of mischievous.
“what?” you squeak, heat rushing straight to your cheeks.

At first I was like , there’s folks just pretending to be Black behind random pics on Twitter and saying “I’m black and I don’t care”… buttttt my tik tok proved me wrong. There’s this creator on tik tok (ya_za_rati) who clearly rides off of clout and is literally having lives about how she doesn’t care. And others just straight up lying about how they were minors and didn’t know any better (which is a clear lie because they were 18). And I’m sorry, at 15, I knew enough not to do harmful or use harmful words. It’s such a lame fucking excuse.
I almost wonder if the companies are also behind this damage control . That Mara handle on twitter with Manon’s pics almost screams a YG employee cosplaying as a fan . Maybe I shouldn’t have that much faith in our own people.
it’s soo…. like i’m all for people feeling how they want to feel. i have a right to be upset, and even if i don’t personally understand it they have a right to not be. but what they don’t have a right to do is invalidate other black fans feelings or make it seem like the girls are just “innocent” or it was so long ago or they didn’t know what they were saying… right and i’m the next dalai lama
if anything it’s 1000% a coverup for kim soohyun. the industry is trying to protect that piece of shit, and doesn’t care about what they have to do to do it. it sucks, but there’s not much we can do about it now except protect our own peace.

it's honestly is a rough time seeing hit tweets defending why it's okay...it's the slew of folks quick to defend and lack of regard/ akcnowledgment of the influence of black culture,...they repackaged the recipe to be more palatable to their audience and refuse to learn the history behind harmful words. if i see one more "BFFR, it's lyrics in a song", or "they were minors"...i'm literally going to lose it... and the fact that they're using AAVE in their argument.
and the thing is, people are trying to say the the word holds no significance in asian culture… which okay. not my place to speak on that. but the three members that said it were born in countries where they DO know the significance of the word. rosie’s australian, jennie’s from new zealand. sure lisa’s from thailand but i don’t really want to talk about lisa :/
they profit off of black culture but they hate us. or in the very least don’t give a fuck about us. the entire industry is full of culture vultures, and we as black stans are expected to just sit down and accept it because what on earth could we possibly have to be upset about. because it’s peoples ‘faves’ our feelings are insignificant, and they always have been.
