That stupid "making female characters genderbent to increase male characters" thing is making me angry the more I think about it. Sure, let's make Isolde a man even though her story is about her being tortured to cure her hysteria instead of getting proper treatment of her mental illness. Let's make Ayaka a man even though her story is about her becoming the ideal young woman of her nation, sometimes at the expense of her own desires. Let's make Ei a man because we can't handle a woman being a little bit morally grey, especially at the position of power.
