Thank you Mint for the ask AND the ask game!! These in depth questions have opened up opportunities for me to share whereas before I felt I needed a big ole timeline post!! THIS IS SO MUCH MORE NATURAL, thank you for the work and thought you put into so many AMAZING QUESTIONS!!

🫰7: If you were to build a mini playlist to associate with your f/o, what 3 songs would you include? What songs would your f/o think to use for you?

EEEE THIS IS SUCH A FUN ONE!! I already have a HeartBeats playlist so I'm challenging myself to find songs not on it.

💌3: Who was the one to pursue the relationship? Was it even reciprocated at first? Was it a big deal, or did you instead forgo a "confession" and one day just quietly acknowledge that you're basically a couple?

When Lyofya got the inkling she was starting to feel flush towards Davey, she was thrilled, and began to flirt with him through her own gift giving tendencies (art). However, when things fall apart on the meteor just before they meet in person for the first time, Lyofya is wracked with grief that puts a hold on anything developing. This gives them time to find a rhythm supporting each other as friends, and would naturally develop into a comfortable romantic relationship that they do just quietly acknowledge the other isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

🌹3: Who's the shier one between you and your f/o? The more flirtatious? Who's more prone to flustering the other, and through what means? Is it intentional or done completely by accident?

Davey is the shier one, most prone to being flustered by even earnest affectionate comments, and big ole cat eyes blinking at him with a lovestruck intensity. Lyofya is the more flirtatious, even though her execution is mostly just 'nuzzle against them and purr'. She likes flustering him, but it's not with the intent to leave him flustered, she really wants him to flirt back (she thinks he's soooo charming)

⛓️‍💥1: Are you and your f/o subject to difficulties in your relationship? Does this angst take the form of interpersonal problems, or bigger circumstances happening around the two of you?

There's a whole timeline where Lyofya is manipulated for her powers by the Clown where she and Davey are unable to connect and heal in order to support the game's progression. So that's the huge external conflict of that wholly prevents the relationship.

Interpersonally, there's clashing between their friends who are also a couple, Esme and Karkat, especially as Davey navigates his own grief over the loss of his shared guardians with Esme. Lyofya wants to encourage dialogue but will get riled up at any accusations that she's pulling Davey away from family. I think that while progress is made to ease tensions, things won't truly settle until they all are out of the life and death Game.

🏠8 and/or 🌹7 FOR DAVFYA!!!!!!!!!

🏠8: Do you have any significant interactions with each other's friends or family? What are their opinions on your relationship?

The premise of the setting introduces Lyofya to be one of the many trolls trolling the human players, finding herself drawn to the knight of time after having her crush on another knight completely dashed. In the process, Lyofya has significant touch points with all of Dave's fellow players and vice versa from Dave encountering all sorts of trolling.

Most notable is Lyofya's interactions with Esme(YOUR GIRLLL), Dave's childhood friend and practically his sister. Lyofya has a similar exuberant strong personality that can butt heads with Esme's, and before the Retcon is instrumental in dooming Esme. Once the game settles, I can see them finding a rhythm in playful cat fighting. Of course, there is also Dirk to consider, but he would prefer such reveals to remain private (I am still figuring out the dynamic eheheh)

Most notable of Dave's interactions with Lyofya's friends is definitely how he clashes with Karkat's authority and how offput he is by Lyofya's on/off flush Gamzee on the meteor pre-retcon.

Opinions of Davefya once they are together (post-retcon) are positive about how both of them clean up their act with a relationship to nestle their goals into, motivation to beat the game renewed, and even moreso that they are eager for domestic 'post-credits'.

🌹7: What circumstances are cause for celebration between you and your f/o? ex. Birthdates, anniversaries, holidays, accomplishments etc.? How do you like to celebrate these occasions?

Lyofya is a huge 'celebrate any small anniversary and milestone' person, keeping track of dates that carry importance to her. Such as the first flarp session of her campaign, she celebrates that with the surviving party members eagerly recounting session highlights over good food. Davey has a strenuous relationship with celebrations from his upbringing; outside of birthdays, summer parties and get togethers were the calm before the storm of his household cycle. Over a period of a couple years on the meteor however, Lyofya is able to ease him into minor celebrations by keeping him involved in the planning so he felt nothing would surprise him. These little celebrations are mostly gatherings with food and drink and reminiscing, sometimes board games.
