She gave Misty her number, ignoring what others have said about her. Jenny even goes out of her way to hangout with her outside of their practices.
Sheโs known both Jackie and Shauna for years, and sheโs close with both of them. Since Jackie convinced her to finally join the soccer team, sheโs been friends with Nat, Lottie, and Mari.

but when she does, yellowjackets team captain JACKIE TAYLOR and the enthusiastic equipment manager MISTY QUIGLEY are always eager to represent the team in an interview. other appearances include the devout LAURA LEE, who agreed out of politeness and ends every session with a blessing, and goalie VAN PALMER, who only joined because it gives her the chance to crack her jokes to the whole school.

Name: Cassandra (Cassie) Owens she/her LESBIAN
Position: JV Defender subsitute
Family: She was born in Chicago, and her family moved to Wiskayok when she was 3. Her mother and father are still together (but shouldn't be lmao) and she takes a lot of care for her younger brother who is in elementary school. Both parents have to work a lot to support the family.
School: She is a senior at Wiskayok, She has always enjoyed music, so of course she is a band and choir kid! She's 2nd or 3rd chair for french horn and an alto in choir. She does not particularly excel in anything other than social studies classes and trivia. (she is particularly good at sight-reading music)
Soccer: She joined the soccer team junior year to get out of gym class, and her parents wanted her to get outside for once (she is an indoor kid even by 90s standards lmao). Although she has some hand-eye coordination, when her brain has to communicate with her legs, it's a whole other story! She was really only on the plane to visit Seattle. She is a JV defender and a substitute at that so she barely gets play time but since she is in the senior class she is somewhat close to the varsity team and is closest to Van.
Misc.: she is a big TV and movie buff and has been working at the local Blockbuster for a while before the crash. She uses TV for escapism, her and usually Van have friday night movie marathons with all the tapes Cassie brought home before she has to bring them back on Saturday afternoon. They also both love SNL (ESPECIALLY MOLLY SHANNON).
Relationships to the yellowjackets: She is closest to Van because of their mutual pop culture obsession. She almost has a soft spot for Misty but does get the weird vibe. They were forced family friends and Misty has not let that go. She was close friends with Shauna in middle school but jackie got jealous and Shauna got insecure so they had a falling out, but they do platitudes with each other at parties and stuff. They have been neighbors since Cassie moved to Wiskayok.
Post-crash: In the wilderness, she is a staunch Tai and Shauna supporter in not believing Lottie and other visions etc.
