hi! hello! salutations! my name (at least on the internet) is creme (she/her please and thank you), and this reintro has been... a long time coming, to say the least. let’s get some quick facts out of the way so i can talk about my over abundance of projects!

i tend to write character-driven stories, complicated relationships of all kinds, queer/nerudivergant characters (hey, write what you know), fucked-up magic systems, and basically everything i touch ends up having SOME kind of fantasy element (whether intentionally or not)
i also write poetry! but that tends not to get posted as much bc of just how personal it is to me
i’m pretty active on here but i'm trying to get better at actually Posting My Writing, i do have some stuff up (mostly from my main wip Lay Me Down) but that’s something i’m working on

i’m currently studying journalism and creative writing in university!!!
i’d love to be published one day (primarily with my poetry and maybe a novel) but first i have to actual finish something lol
i am literally up to read/follow anything. anything at all. i do have stuff i look for and some genres i read more than others but if something has a premise i like/tropes i like/a cool vibe/anything remotely interesting at all i tend to jump on it
i love love love being tagged in tag games even if it takes me fucking forever to do them lol

aaaaand i think that’s mostly it! now onto the main event (aka all my stories i couldn’t shut up about so i had to put them under the cut):

i feel like attempts to analyze a midsummer nights dream often fall short when people look at the four lovers/the fairies part of the story for its central “meaning” so to speak when they should be looking at the rude mechanicals. william shakespeare voice you know whats important? art that is bad and sucks and is poorly produced and doesn’t really convey its intended message and is amateurish and lame. and he was right is the thing. he was literally right.

#of course all of that is secondary to THE MOST important thing which is ofc: the jokes #there are other good ways to anyalze midsummer but the play never really clicked with me until i looked at it through this lens #more than any of his other works it’s a Play About Plays? does that make sense? not to obviously but it’s there #my university just did a production that i went and saw for my birthdayyyyyy and they seemed to really get this part and put a lot of focus #on it and it was SO much fun. obviously some rough spots but at the end during the play the mechanicals put on my sides literally hurt from #laughing and the audience was interacting with it like it was the play they’d come to see (which like. it was bc it’s part of the play they #got tickets for but yk what i mean) and it was just such a good time <3

niche indie art is great because most of it is very middling in a genuine and charming way. this song melody is kind of nothing but the lyrics are clever. this novella plot is flimsy but the prose has a lot of bounce. this video essay could have been a text essay and lost nothing but it's still intellectually interesting. and then one day you take a gamble and click something that you don't really know much about and you're like. ah. they put some god in this one.

what they don’t tell you about depressive episodes is that sometimes they will just end one day and you will look around you and go lmao this is literally fine what was i even so upset about. what they also don’t tell you is that this does not necessarily make you feel better but instead unlocks a kind of third weirder feeling that has yet to be properly categorized :)
