Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I'm in the middle of a minor health crisis and haven't been feeling very creative. While I haven't been making my own, I have been managing to get a little done from patterns I bought when I have the energy, so I thought I'd show some of those off!
[ID: A pattern stitched on black 14ct aida in pale yellow and golden yellow silky thread, in the shape of the solar array of the James Webb Space Telescope. It consists of 18 hexagons arranged around a central one. Most of the hexagons have a different pattern stitched into them, but the central one and five others are empty. One of them is only half finished. Each pattern is stitched in the lighter thread in a stripe through the middle, to look as if it is reflective. End ID]
This is PatchyAtBestCo on Etsy's James Webb Space Telescope pattern, I did it in satin thread instead of regular yellows to give it a bit of extra shine! I've been working on it for well over a year because my attention span is nonexistent. The repetitive patterns can be nice when listening to a podcast though.
[ID: A cross stitch pattern stitched on 16ct white aida. It is long and narrow in shape and made up of a wide variety of blues and purples, with the shape of a dragon's head in black and its neck just able to be made out in the shading and black details. It has large antlers stitched in silky pale yellow thread, with the tips not quite finished. Its eye is stitched in the same silky thread, as well as a stripe further down its neck. There are no lines added yet, and the top is unfinished. End ID]
This is a pattern by AnnyFunnyXxX on Etsy, this particular colour scheme isn't available anymore but they do have it in green and purple colour schemes that look great too! Again I replaced the yellow with satin thread because I love shiny things and also I hate myself apparently. (Don't do that. There are quarter stitches in the antlers, eyes AND stripes, you will regret it almost instantly. It does look cool though.) This is only the top half of the pattern, I still have the bottom half to go.
Here's hoping that this year I'll have some of my own patterns and some more screen printing to show you!
