Art blog for nightmaretour

Hey! I'm Zero, a physically disabled trans man with a brain injury living in the UK, and this is my art blog (main is @nightmaretour). I mainly do textile arts such as screen printing, cross stitch and loom knitting, although I do dabble in digital art from time to time.

Aside from band logos, all of my designs and patterns are my own unless stated otherwise.

I have a ko-fi where I sell screen prints and possibly more in the future, currently there's only my most popular design up but I'll most likely add others at some point when my health allows it! The patterns used to make the screens I print with are also available for free (with the option to tip if you want), all I ask is that you don't use them commercially or redistribute them, and that you credit if you post the finished product online!

Terfs, ableists and other bigots will be blocked on sight :)

My pfp is by @reflexicon!

Not my art, but @sorealee made some amazing art of my guy Ghost (alternate version of the guy in my pfp) as a commission!

Her art is gorgeous and she's so great to work with, extremely understanding and she made sure everything was right every step of the way. She's still taking commissions right now, I'd highly recommend checking out her blog!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I'm in the middle of a minor health crisis and haven't been feeling very creative. While I haven't been making my own, I have been managing to get a little done from patterns I bought when I have the energy, so I thought I'd show some of those off!

[ID: A pattern stitched on black 14ct aida in pale yellow and golden yellow silky thread, in the shape of the solar array of the James Webb Space Telescope. It consists of 18 hexagons arranged around a central one. Most of the hexagons have a different pattern stitched into them, but the central one and five others are empty. One of them is only half finished. Each pattern is stitched in the lighter thread in a stripe through the middle, to look as if it is reflective. End ID]

This is PatchyAtBestCo on Etsy's James Webb Space Telescope pattern, I did it in satin thread instead of regular yellows to give it a bit of extra shine! I've been working on it for well over a year because my attention span is nonexistent. The repetitive patterns can be nice when listening to a podcast though.

[ID: A cross stitch pattern stitched on 16ct white aida. It is long and narrow in shape and made up of a wide variety of blues and purples, with the shape of a dragon's head in black and its neck just able to be made out in the shading and black details. It has large antlers stitched in silky pale yellow thread, with the tips not quite finished. Its eye is stitched in the same silky thread, as well as a stripe further down its neck. There are no lines added yet, and the top is unfinished. End ID]

This is a pattern by AnnyFunnyXxX on Etsy, this particular colour scheme isn't available anymore but they do have it in green and purple colour schemes that look great too! Again I replaced the yellow with satin thread because I love shiny things and also I hate myself apparently. (Don't do that. There are quarter stitches in the antlers, eyes AND stripes, you will regret it almost instantly. It does look cool though.) This is only the top half of the pattern, I still have the bottom half to go.

Here's hoping that this year I'll have some of my own patterns and some more screen printing to show you!

I'm not dead, just very ill. With any luck I'll have some things ironed out medically soon and I'll be back to making stuff!

Since my "tour dates" patch got so popular and I am in deep, deep financial shit this month due to needing supplies for my leopard gecko, I decided to set up a ko-fi shop! It only has the one design currently, but if it turns out that people actually want to buy them I might add more in the future.

My ko-fi is found here:

And leopard gecko tax of course!

Another patch, this screen is easily my cleanest so far. It did take about 2 hours to paint with screen drawing fluid though

This is so cool, I'm gonna make a patch like that too 🤩♠️

I can send you the image file I made to trace onto the screen if you'd like!

Some of my older patches done with the sticker paper/freezer paper method, I'm proud of how they turned out and the detail is great, but they took so much more time and work. Especially when most of the time my hands are too shaky to be trusted with a scalpel.
