True to Atsumu's word, his car is parked at the end of the alleyway with him leaning against the side of it. He's got his usual pair of sunglasses on to try and blend in as well as possible, which is difficult if you own a car which doors open by going up. He waits patiently beside the car and pulls it open for you when you reach him.

"Hi, darlin'." He gives you a fleeting kiss as a greeting, helping you into the car before rushing to the other side. Once he's settled in his seat, he gives you a wide smile. "How was work? Anything fun happen?"

You shake your head, looking to your side as he pulls the car out onto the spot. "Well, Osamu hung a couple of my paintings and has little labels with their name and price. That's exciting."

Summary: Every moment Max spent with you was hell and he thought the same, so when a dog is rescued from the track and both of you want to keep it, the pair of you would have to stomach one another. Whoever the dog runs to at the end of the season gets to keep him and maybe a stray dog won’t be the only thing coming home with you when the season is over.

Since that day you and Max were forced to act like a couple. Press had hounded the pair of you constantly as you left the hotel. Max had done his best to shield you away from them, sure you worked in social media and knew what people would say and act but Max knew how relentless the press could be. Normally low lives on social media would give up after a few minutes but the press wouldn’t, after all, they were being paid to harass you.  

You had arrived in Azerbaijan for the upcoming race, both the dog and Max by your side as you walked towards the Red Bull tables for breakfast. Max had his hand laced in yours, holding it tight almost as if you’d get lost or separated from him. Since the conversion with Christian and Max’s dad, you and Max faked an Instagram photo with the dog, playing along with Red Bull’s fantasy story, making Max look good for the press. 

Christian was hoping the rumours about Max sleeping around with countless women would die off and he could continue with yours and his perfect little story, the rescue dog becoming the perfect matchmaker.

Since agreeing to move in with Max for two weeks he had raced in Spain and picked up second place behind Lewis yet again. Something he was yet again frustrated with as he wanted the points. Max had been focused on the race so the pair of you had hardly spoken to one another. He occasionally invited you into his room to spend time with the dog, seeing as the two of you were in competition to keep him. Which led you to now, Max had told you to meet him in the hotel car park with your things, the plan was to drive you to the airport, catching his private jet to his apartment. 

You would be lying if you said you were confident about this whole idea. Deep down you knew this could be one of the worst two weeks of your life or it could be bearable. If you were honest you were betting more on it being the worst. Max wanted you to be there by 10:00 am but on your way, you bumped into a happy Daniel.
