as for advice all i can say is : observe a lot!! real life, other artists, anything that catches your eye. breaking things down into simple shapes helps a ton (especially for more realistic styles) also, don’t be afraid to make “bad” art, it’s all part of learning!! trying new things, experimenting with different styles, and just having fun with it makes a huge difference

for drawing lily and other plus-sized characters, i try to focus on soft shapes and natural weight distribution, like how fat rests on the body instead of just adding volume to a standard figure. looking at real body types helps a lot, especially for understanding things like how arms, stomach, and thighs carry weight differently (you can find so many references on pinterest but also on tiktok with ootd videos)
