Soo I decided to make a little fanart of @skobbeloff Design of Elizabeth 1st

aand ive a little question for you, :3 Since I'm a big fan of the relationship between Elizabeth 1st and her favorite, Robert Dudley, have you ever thought about designing a six the kids version of him? :)

So I’m reading Icebreaker which I’m actually enjoying a lot more than I thought I would and it’s gotten me in the mood for another small modern AU - essentially this can be considered a prequel to A String That Pulled Me
Backstory: Elizabeth and Robert are in their second and last year of uni respectively and are going clubbing with their friends: Isabella “Izzie” Markham, Anna Russell (Elizabeth’s best friends and flatmates), John Tamworth (Robert’s flatmate), Roger North (his best friend) and Walter Raleigh (their mutual friend and “weed guy” lol). Their unresolved sexual tension comes to a point and they abscond to Robert’s flat to resolve it. The scene that follows is their friends (who are outside in the smoking area of the club) figuring out what’s going on. Enjoy this little snippet!

“You say that like you’ve actually lived through these dreams before,” Robert said carefully. He wasn’t judging her, his voice was genuinely curious, enthralled even. Elizabeth shrugged. “I dunno … it felt like I had, in some way. Like in a past life or something. I know you don’t set much in store with that new age-y stuff. Neither do I, to be honest, but this felt … so real. Like it was demanding to be listened to. So then I started thinking, ‘okay … let’s say these are memories from a past life. What are they trying to tell me? Is there a message?’” She held his gaze again and saw in his eyes that same longing, prolonged and ancient, like something centuries in the making was finally falling into place, the pieces fitting together in ways they’d never been able to before. In that moment, she knew he understood, even if his logical brain did not want to believe in it. “And I think there is … I think it’s the universe telling us, ‘You’ve been given a second chance. Use it well.’”
Summary: October 2017. Robert and Elizabeth have reconciled after a miserable six-month break. Barely a month into their renewed relationship however, their bond is already tested when Douglas Howard, Robert’s fling during their break, announces that she’s pregnant. As both Robert and Elizabeth reel from the news, they have to navigate this new complication in their lives. When the dust settles, a frank conversation between the two reveals an even deeper connection than they might have previously thought.

I have been on a musical spree recently (today and yesterday). I listened to so many musicals and read so many Tudor history pages on Wikipedia that I started making a Six the musical sequel/ fan work thing/ whatever for the next tudor rulers (i included Jane Grey, too, she's gonna be an interlude thing). I hope this hasn't been done before...
I put way more effort into this than i should have, there is a... two-hour long recording of me brainstorming up their songs and the stage effects... Yes, I'm writing their songs right now.
Here's a rough doodle of the concept. There are a lot of details and intricacies i've included, I'll write them out if anyone is interested :P
