So we're all in agreement that his monologue is poetry, right. Here's the thing: it's literal poetry. "I've made my life a sunless space/I share my dreams with ghosts" is iambic pentameter, and with the rhythm that he says it, so is "I've given up all chance at inner peace". It's such a tiny detail but it's one of my favourite things in Andor

Okay I love the thought of Crosshair being faster in math than Tech. I mean not exactly better but as I said faster. Because Crosshairs job is it to constantly calculate. I never realised it till I saw a interview with a real sniper who explained his work. So just imagine Tech being jealous and frustrated that Cross can always calculate a little bit faster than him and without the use of a calculator because he trained himself to do it without one.

I did research about sniper rifles and snipers for a shooter game I was working on for my job. I interviewed a soldier (a sniper). The sniper teams are composed of two man units. The sniper and the observer. The job of the observer is to identify the target and verify the shot by doing the math of the angle, range, lead, etc. But the sniper does the calculations first and verifies them with the observer. When I watched the episode of The Clone Wars when they introduced The Bad Batch, I thought that Tech was Crosshair's observer. He did exactly that. He gave the coordinates of the battle droids.

So, yeah, snipers are good at doing math.
