in another life, perhaps you’d be a mermaid. swimming about each part of the seven seas, collecting items and creating the most beautiful treasures mankind would never know about. maybe learn some kind of magic along the way.

swimming underneath the waves again, you resurface to see a figure standing by your towel. upon further inspection, you spot an older male with just a plain black t-shirt and gym shorts. bulging arms folded across his chest while giving you an amused look. “you’re back.”

you are able to stand in the water and as your eyes adjusted a bit, spot the man to be none other than your neighbor himself. “you were waiting for my return or what?” the tone was a little teasing, but to have caught his attention at this time was interesting. *what was he doing at home?*

“i was doing a run, saw something in the water and thought it was my imagination. had to stop and see.” he smirks while holding out your towel for you as you’ve made it back on the sand. “you’re not scared of not seeing whats around you?”

“i trust the ocean,” you take the towel from his extended hand, brushing against his fingers. wrapping the towel around your figure, you squeeze the excess ocean water from your hair out. “so long as you respect her, she remains friendly.”
