Tommy Saves The Day

@firewasabeast

CJ, 31, she/her, sometimes I write stuff.

crashing that helicopter is out, having a ridiculous conversation in the helicopter is in! Also, I know what they're doing is all very vague, but it's all I've got, okay?!

“You ready?”

“Ready.”

“You can back out, you know? I can go by m-”

“Tommy,” Buck interrupted, adjusting the mic on his helmet, “I’m ready. Let’s go.”

Tommy nodded, eyebrows furrowing as he focused on getting the bird in the air. “You know,” he started once they had taken off, “before I met you, the total number of helicopters I’d stolen was zero.”

“So, you’re saying I’ve added spice to your life?” Buck asked with a smirk, glancing over at Tommy.

Tommy huffed out a laugh. “Yeah, you could say that.”

Rewatching the first kiss clip, I just remembered Christopher talked to Tommy (and presumably got to know him a little well)

I wonder if Chris even knew about the breakup. I mean, I don't think Eddie would have mentioned it to him really.

What do you think? I feel like I'm forgetting some important detail (8a was 50 years ago)

Hmm, I doubt it. I feel like Chris is at the age where he’s probably not asking about Tommy or Buck. And seeing as Eddie cut off Tommy cold turkey, he probably never brought it up.

For s9 I need an episode where Buck and Tommy try and go on a date but every time they get interrupted by an emergency (at a restaurant and someone chokes, at the park and someone hurts themselves) so they have to stop their date to help.

I also want an episode kinda like in Lonestar where it was fire vs police softball game. But this time it’s a first responders charity event and harbour and 118 are pitted against each other.

Ohh both of these would be so good! For the second one: Tommy and Buck try to throw each other off by flirting but they just find each other too cute 😂 at the end, no one knows where they are and they’re just making out behind the bleachers lol

for s9, if bucktommy get back together, i want more of tommy being included in the friendgroup, make it obvious no one hates him, let him hang out with chim/hen/bobby, maybe they still have inside jokes buck doesn't understand

would be fun if we got a bucktommy karaoke scene 😂

maybe have them play basketball together again, because tommy likes basketball, and buck likes spending time with tommy

and would be cool if they could give buck a small bi-flag magnet on his fridge or something if it's not something he's ever going to talk about on the show

YES to alllllllll of this!

I'm pretty sure that bobby's death is fake and will be a case of misidentification so yes, another kill a main poll please pretty please???? 🥺👉👈

I think so too, but I did a divorce poll instead 😂 I'm also thinking up something else 👀 to keep the boredom away.

To stop you from making another kill a main poll, here is a horny bucktommy headcanon for you.

When Buck and Tommy get back together, Tommy becomes obsessed with bottoming. Not that he didn't before and they always like to switch it up, but Buck notices that Tommy is A LOT more uninhibited once Buck makes he clear he loves every single each of Tommy, his body and his mind. Part of that is that he rarely felt comfortable enough with someone to just let go so he does with Buck and Buck's never loved him more than when Tommy's begging for it.

this is the story I was trying to write earlier and could never get it to come out right, so y'all get the outline instead lol enjoy! There is MCD here, based off of some spoilers.

Tommy being thrown into whatever's going on with the 118, and he's doing everything in his power to help save them. He may not be with the 118 anymore, but they were his people. They each played a role in changing him for the better, and he'd do anything they needed. Plus, Evan asked. And if Evan asked for Tommy to bring him the moon, Tommy would figure out a way to do it. It doesn't matter that he'll probably be fired, or arrested, or potentially shot out of the sky, he does it because it needs to be done.

And the 118 gets what they need to get better. Except it takes a while longer for Bobby to recover and... and then he doesn't recover. He flatlines in the hospital, and they're not able to save him. Tommy holds Buck as he falls apart in his arms, and it's the worst feeling in the world because Tommy knows if he'd been a little faster, if he'd thought quicker on his feet, if he wouldn't have had to waste time with the army or the FBI, the outcome might have been different.

Contagion anon again lmao

I reckon Tim’s probably doing Contagion for part one, and then Outbreak (1995) for part 2. Helicopters feature heavily in the ending of Outbreak, which would allow for Tommy’s involvement and explain the several helicopter BTS clips we’ve seen in recent weeks.

Ohhh gotcha! I think someone else said that to me yesterday too!

Thanks again!! 💕

The problem with trying to explain Contagion is that it depends on which Contagion Tim decided he wanted to rip off. If it’s the 2002 one, then meh, that one wasn’t great. The 2011 one was better, in my opinion, and I feel like that’s probably the one he’s gone with, based on the preview for next week and the resurgence in popularity that the movie had in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Contagion (2011) is somewhat inspired by the 2002-2004 SARS outbreak, and the 2009 swine flu pandemic. It’s about a woman who takes a business trip to Hong Kong and unknowingly contracts a mysterious infection that she brings back to the US, specifically Minneapolis, and ends up killing her and her son. The infection quickly spreads, via those she came into contact with both on her trip in Hong Kong and on her layover in Chicago, and ends up becoming a global pandemic. There’s also something of a “terroristic” plot involved, in that a government official from China becomes convinced that the US has secretly developed a vaccine for the illness and kidnaps a WHO epidemologist, holding her for a few months to try and obtain the first batch of vaccines for the people of his village.

It’s a pretty good movie, honestly, which is why I don’t trust Tim not to fuck it up for me forever. It also received praise from several scientists for the accuracy of the microbiology/virology used, which…I think we all know Tim won’t be getting that same praise 😅

You’re my hero 💕❤️💕

Not really sure how tommy comes into play with this storyline but I’m excited to see what happens! I definitely don’t think Tim will care about getting the science right 😂

Do you think they'll ever have Buck state his sexuality outright? It's starting to feel bi-phobic. And frankly, we don't even know he's bisexual, because the show refuses to let him have that discussion with anyone.

I think we know he's bisexual. Or, at least, I've never doubted it. idk if they'll ever have him say it. I'd like for him to, but I also don't want it to be in a weird, out-of-place way just to placate the viewers. I'm bisexual, I've never said it out loud, and I don't really feel a need to do so. Maybe it's just not something I've thought about much, I don't know, but I highly doubt the writing staff at 911 ever thinks about it at all lol
