anyone got tips for taking care of an infected cvt?

hi, me again! please don’t put hydrogen peroxide on an infected cut, it could worsen the condition and delay the healing process.

instead of changing your care(?) routine with your infected cut, just stick to the one you started with. messing with what you apply to the infection could fuck around with the healing process or make it worse. stick to 1 routine and keep it that way to play it safe.

if you applied the aloe n stuff, wash it all off and put neosporin and or antibiotic cream on the cut. if it does not get better within 5-7 days, I’m sorry to say this, but you’ll have to at least consider going to a doctor.

you could wash the cut with antibacterial soap to help a bit, but im not sure how well it’d work.

I’m trying my best to help, but I’m just a silly little tumblr user who happens to sh as well. find someone who has more knowledge in the medical field instead or someone who has a lot of experience w taking care of infected cuts. stay safe!

I have one more last question, When I apply antibiotic cream, a layer of pus forms and I don't know if I should keep removing it when I change the gauze

Also pus forms in the form of threads when I pull it with forceps so i rlly need help

if the pus comes out in *small* amounts, it could be a good sign of healing. it means your body is fighting the infection and trying to heal the injury.

and, please do not remove the pus with forceps or your hands. you can wipe it away with tissues but make sure to throw away the tissues right after and to wash your hands thoroughly to avoid the germs spreading.
