someone just reblogged this post which reminded me that it exists and. i wrote this three and a half years ago when i was an angsty afab teenager who had only ever davened orthodox. i now daven at a trad egal shul with no mechitza, and a partnership minyan where i sit on the men’s side sometimes. next month iy”h i’m going to leyn at a modern orthodox shul, at the regular minyan not the women’s tefillah group. yesterday i was tenth at the reconstructionist minyan where my friend was saying kaddish. i didn’t know these were possible when i first made the post. things really do get better
