Wanted to go for something easy to draw yet fun to look at. Hope yβall like her :)
So about those prices
people talking aboutΒ βforced diversityβ like characters being PoC or LGBT or disabledΒ βfor no reasonβ like
are people in real life PoC or LGBT or disabled for a reason
do these critics run up to people on the street like WHY ARE YOU BLACK
this post is nearly ten years old and unfortunately the government is now out here asking anyone with a halfway decent job WHY ARE YOU BLACK
u guys were like "ohh no more trance" so I decided instead to make more trance and make it even louder and heavier
U mean⦠i have the ability to make trans woman go outside?

I want more female characters who are just so bad at comforting others. Not for lack of trying or caring, they just get so so awkward when someone's upset, and they try to repeat things they've heard even if it doesn't necessarily apply to the situation, or they accidentally say the wrong thing and make it worse. If someone cries they panic and throw every single comfort technique down at once and it only helps because it's such bizarre behaviour
Basically I'm tired of female characters having the inherent βgood helper/wise advisorβ trait just bc they're women, and I'm also tired of the faux progressive 'female characters must have no emotion whatsoever'. People seem to think the opposite of being a good caretaker is just not caring, when actually the opposite of being a good caretaker is not knowing which care to take and when or how. Like throwing water onto an oil fire. Putting blankets over someone who is claustrophobic. Recommending family time to an orphan. Etc. I want a female character who will be up with you until 3am because you're struggling but she can't stop quoting Mister Rogers because she has NO idea what to say. Even if she's experienced the same things, she just has no idea how to convey any wisdom through words and gets super duper awkward if you start crying
you want her
Reminds me of Imp killing Regent's dad in Worm as a way of honoring his death. That was good female representation.
imma say it.Β βkung fu pandaβ did more for body positivity and saying that Β you can be fat and still be healthy and liked than ANYTHING any beauty companies trying to get your money.
also it had a positive relationship between an adopted child and his stepfather even after he found out he was adopted
Hey yknow how Viper was born without fangs, but instead of being rendered helpless as her family thought sheβd be, she instead used her other skills to become the best warrior in her clan?
And how Tigress had severe, destructive anger issues when she was younger, but instead of being painted as a βproblem childβ she was instead taught her how to channel her emotions into something constructive?
And how Crane trained extra hard to impress a girl, and was by all rights the hero of his own story, but he still didnβt get her in the end? And how the girl isnβt shamed for it?
Itβs almost as if you get more mileage out of treating your characters (and the people they resemble) with compassion than you do just shamelessly stamping them with your own misconceptions and hang ups.

The whole central ethos of the franchise is that thereβs no such thing as being The Bestβ’ - thereβs just being the best version of yourself you can be, and honoring/channeling your own strengths is the wise and badass thing to do.
everyoneβs trying to stump the akinator so iβm gonna try and see if heβll know that iβm thinking of the little symbol on the front of his turban

we need to get more normal about nonsexual nudity i think
kind of missing the point pretty badly actually
i mean i kinda think insisting on not seeing boobs at all is kind of lame weenie behavior is the thing
this might sound harsh but imo that's just not a realistic accommodation to expect in a scenario where we're trying to destigmatize naked human bodies
people will come up with 10 thousand excuses on why they don't actually agree with something when they pretend to do so. anyway I hope people realized that a lot of the stigmatization against nudity/nude bodies is quite literally the result of colonization/imperialism and overall fascism.
what I mean by that is colonizers viewed the nudity of black and indigenous people as "obscene" and inherently sexual because of the avid dehumanization of them. it's literally just fascist bullshit spread in people's brains SPECIFICALLY AMERICANS. (my European gf has told me many times that America's weirdness about nudity was strange and I agree)
another point: second hand dysphoria, while it is a thing, is entirely on you and is 100% manageable and saying other people's bodies, especially if they are other trans men with breasts, makes you "dysphoric" you need to genuinely push pass that and grow up and stop getting uncomfortable over other bodies. as harsh as that is I'm sure other people don't like being told they're dysphoria inducing.
