i walked my feet down the center of california’s coastal highway, with nothing but the hush of the sea down below and the hiss of hot grasses alongside. 

with multiple road closures along this stretch of monterey county’s coast, now is an eerily poignant time for the big sur community, but i could only think of how much the wildlife must be loving it.
