i've seen two articles by trans people, back-to-back, complaining that "visibility" is not only ineffective, but has brought us into the line of fire

what an absolutely piss-poor take. literally shockingly misinformed, especially from the kind of people writing it.

i don't feel like writing out all the reasons why right now, just that i'm annoyed by some of our people losing so much hope they're starting to spit at what progress we have made.

ok so here's the progress on my sims collectibles museum

this takes up the entire usable footprint of a 50x40 lot. i may eventually have to size up, but i don't like to do that because moving the lot deletes or resets several objects, such as the clay sculptures

everything in the museum was earned via gameplay (ie not cheated), though some harder to find objects were purchased in-game via plopsy or vendor stalls. unlocked career items were earned the normal way. the only exceptions are, if my sim wins a gold-level trophy, i also let them have all the lower-level awards (ex if they get a gold acting trophy, they'll also get silver and bronze). this is because it's often impossible to earn those lower rewards once you're at gold. i also cheated a lot of the items in the paranormal room because there are literally like 50 collectible items you could get after a gig, and their likelihood is completely random, meaning i could have easily sunk 1k gigs at about 6 sim hours each and still gotten nowhere near complete. so if i got a repeat, i let myself have another variant of the same item instead.

i'm still missing most of the collectibles from hobbies, horses, and werewolves, as well as trophies from high school and get famous. my chef sim is in the process of cooking every single recipe; these will never spoil.

the family consists of my starter sim elfie, who is now an elder, her deceased alien wife, their daughter sunny and her wife, and their three children.

anyway here's some pics:
