Hey All I wanted to share a resource with my US peeps that I was sent recently that I think is really nicely organized!
my local student union put together this great list of folks to call on different funding committees in the House and Senate (originally organized to reach out about federal funding cuts to research, something that’s been effecting me and everyone I work with a ton), so take a look at this list and give everyone from your state a call!
(For those worried about clicking mystery links the lists look like this and goes on for several pages 👍)
Since it lists all of the members in those committees that means that there are multiple representatives per state in most of them, which means that even if you live in a blue area you can find those red seats that you can and should contact within your own state! (You should also be contacting the Dems too! We need that overwhelming public opinion right now)
Bonus scripts and motivational gifs under the cut for those that would like those resources!
Bringing this back to say I just tried 5calls.org and oh my god it’s a game changer - you just click the topic you want to call about (they have a great long list) and put in your zip code and it immediately brings up a list of numbers and scripts to use - it’ll also include local numbers if they have em so you can hit them all up at once!
Doing it on my phone I could just click the number to call, then set it to speaker and navigate back to the webpage to read off the script and then click to get the next number when I finished- it’s so easy I finished all my calls to my contacts in like 3 minutes I can’t believe I didn’t find this sooner a;lsdjkf
UPDATE: Apparently they have an app for Android and iOS too!

Re: Greed’s Ultimate Shield and electricity. There are people who do dangerous stunts with chainmail and tesla coils. They don’t get hurt because the electricity runs through the chainmail onto the ground rather than their body. So that means Greed’s Ultimate Shield might actually protect him from electrical attacks! Now full on lightning is debatable but might reduce the damage at least.
ayy that's something! I do wonder how much direct contact with the ground is needed, does the chainmail have to go that far down? Assuming greed's shoe soles are rubber that could help? or make it worse idk tbh I know rubber is an insulator but that's about it lol - clearly the only way to know for sure it to throw lightning at greed

A lot of stuff about graphene showed up on my YouTube recommendations and I cannot unthink that Greed's Ultimate Shield is made of graphene layers and what would that mean like does he conduct electricity well? Is he weak to electric attacks?
that's an interesting question cause would the electricity just immediately fry the meat bits under the shield or would it just charge up the shield like rubbing your feet against a carpet so you can zap someone hmmm (I think it'd fry him but I think he should try it out regardless 👍)
