If you never saw the stars, candles were enough
Don’t tell the boys, chapter 3
For the briefest moment, he allowed himself to picture it. He allowed himself to borrow a snippet of what Jean had found. He knew it wasn’t all so simple. That Jean still had a million and one hurdles to jump before he was anything that remotely resembled truly happy.
But fuck if he wasn’t giving it his best shot.
And so, in that moment of borrowing this hypothetical happiness, Kevin couldn’t help but picture himself on the beach. Walking with his toes in the sand, saltwater lapping at his ankles, and a different beautiful blond boy holding his hand.
I hope you have the same energy for the white people writing POC characters for clout
!!!!
okay honestly im so sorry but im using sis' post to scream because this has been pissing me off so much? the amount of virtue signalling that is afoot in this fandom is so crazy to me, because there are so many fics with beautifully authentic representation of POC characters written by POC where the authors get the most INSANE ABUSE in the DMs because people don't realise that its just... authentic? like why is your immediate assumption that this writer is white? that's so CRAZY TO ME.
and instead of realising this, you're out here shouting about 'how great the ____ james representation is in this fic' all the while, its been grabbed and run with by a white author who has taken a culture and sexualised/appropriated/fetishised it because it's currently a popular 'trend' within fandom.
im not saying white people can't or shouldn't write POC. but when POC writers are getting villainised for writing POC characters and white authors are wearing our cultures for clout... something has gone terribly fucking wrong, sorry!
Pynch! In celebration and devastation of finishing “Greywaren” and a belated happy birthday to Adam, my mean, magical, weirdo🫶

jean-yves moreau is the Character of all time. he’s bisexual. he’s french. he hates being social. he refuses to go anywhere alone. “chances of them knowing french?” “none. they’re american.” he doesn’t know how to make friends. he almost broke someone’s neck for his self declared partner. on the topic of said partner jean stood between his legs with his shirt half unbuttoned “platonically”. he hates english and he’s right. “a single word is seldom rude enough to make a point.” he’s canonically called someone a half-baked baguette. he owns two shirts and they’re both black. “your apologies are as useful as perfume on a frog.” he hasn’t seen a microwave in years. he doesn’t celebrate national holidays. absolutely classic.
all that and he’s still the loverboy of all loverboys. the softest heart and most gentle creature. like a really spiky kitten.
I chase the feeling of The Raven Cycle like Gansey chased Glendower. I will not explain further.
