What’s your professional opinion on Steven receiving hugs? From people like: his dad, the Elite 4, Wallace, Lance, maybe the other Champions, Hoenn protags, his fans, random grandparents, Ash, etc. Just a guide to hugs. Because I love writing them in all sorts of situations but he does not look like a hug initiator or receiver to me unless if everybody dog piled him over almost dying again.

i love how this is worded in a way to imply that i am a steven professional lol

i feel like steven is both very predictable and variable when it comes to hugs? his default would probably be something along the lines of "i don't like random strangers coming up to touch me, people i know have MUCH more leeway" if that makes sense. and yeah i also think that 90% of the time steven is not the one initiating hugs but from how i write him (professional stevenliker knowledge or headcanon?) he only does it when trying to express how much a person means to him, almost always in gratitude :) this ask made me go back to my drive and find an excerpt from one of my scrapped fics to make this point, congrats
